Hi, I see the Axpert Inverter Manual is not clear on the Maximum AC Input current that the Axpert range of inverters can handle, thus I am wondering what the different opinions on this will be. What would you guys say is the ideal DB board AC input Dual Pole Circuit breakers to use on single inverter installations: 1.5kVA Axpert 3kVA Axpert 5kVA Axpert

HI experts im curious whats the max number of strings and panels per string (72cell panels) you guys have installed successfully on Axpert PF1 (5kva)? would it manage 5 strings of 3 panels (Voc around = 46V and Isc=9.3A). seems safe to have a string voltage of 138V with 46.5A for 5 strings (ignoring cable losses). Im concerned that the total PVin exceeds 6kw. Thanks in advance

SO I started today configuring my setup 1. VenuxGS - connected - updated - sorted 2. MPPT - Connected - updated - sorted 3. 2xPulontech US3000's - Connected - sorted - have one issue. power LED of one unit does not come on. all seems to operate as intended. VE.Cam Cable made up and working 4. Multiplus II - Conencted - Can see as device through Venus. MK3 - installed. VE Config picks up Usb-Mk3 but does not see the Multi. Am I missing something? Normal UTP cable right? Thanks!

What is the difference between the Multiplus and the Multiplus II specs wise? I think the II is cheaper? I did hear talk that the II complies with Cape Town regulations? The only Victron I can find on the Cape Town list is the Grid which is no longer made!

I am trying to determine the best location for having a Victron Multiplus II installed. Unfortunately my garage has quite a few cupboards / shelves etc. already installed, and I am not keen on moving them around. There is space below one of the cupboards, but I am not sure if there are any regulations around how high an inverter should be installed from the floor? There may be a bit of space next to a tumble dryer, but that is hardly a friendly environment - unless I put e.g. some "fire board" next to the tumble dryer? (Fire board is the stuff used inside wood stoves and so on to keep the fire from burning directly against the metal.

Hi all. My system is as follows: 1. 2 x Axpert 5kva 5kw inverters 2. 4 x 2.4Kwh pylontech batteries 3. 28 x 280w panels (7840w total) 4. ICC software. Using the ICC software, I've set the system to use SOC% to control how the batteries are charged. I've set them to charge only using solar power. I've set the system to switch over to grid when my batteries reach 25% SOC and then switch back to Solar/Battery power once the batteries have reached 35% SOC. This all works very well. Good day All, I am unfortunately in Cape Town and hence CoCT are being outright (insert profanity here) about their NRS "approved" Inverters. I have (form many years of work) this manic need for redundancy and hence am looking at getting 2x 3kVA MKS-3K-Plus Axperts and parallel them so in the event I loose one I at least still have half load capability or have the ability to increase full load by adding additional units at a later stage. The price point is then similar to say a MLT Oasis 8.0H with no redundancy and then I still need to add a MPPT to the mix as well. Hi. I noticed SolarPower does not allow me to change the “Allow AC charger times” from “01:00 - 04:00” (default?) to “00:00 - 00:00” (for always on). When trying to apply the settings, it says “Setting False!” This is on a Super 4k model Infinisolar. I am still using SolarPower 1.09. The battery voltages drops from 54v down to 51.7v as soon as the PV is unavailable. Why does this happen? Sometimes, the inverter also switches off in the early morning hours, while the grid is available. The “AC on/off” timer is set to “00:00 / 00:00” in other words it is disabled. Any ideas? Thanks.

is anyone else having this, i have tried to isolate why but no luck. Getting error 17 for a multiple of reasons, overload when there is no overload. Its 2 x 5kva invertors in parallel with 24 x 350 rec panels on 2 x 150/100 regulators. I have a few more clients wanting the same system but i dont feel confident doing it anymore. Batteries have been doubled in size to 880 ah.

Hi Guys, I was told by a dealer that one has to use a Victron accredited installer to hook up a Victron system to your DB , etc or else the warranty will be void. Is this true ? Suggestions on any Victron re-sellers , looking for a Quattro or Multiplus 2 5000 thanks

I am new - hallo all. A few simple questions but I cannot get an answer anywhere. Intended load shedding setup: Mains plus 5000 watt axpert inverter and 4x200 AH Vision AGM batteries (a few panels maybe later). What happens if I should EXCEED 5000 watt usage? Does the inverter simply trip out? What is the effect on the batteries (while mains is switched on) if I consistently run close to 5 000 watts? Ie does the current simply pass through leaving the batteries alone as if they are being trickle charged just to preserve them for long term storage? Or does that current have a life shortening effect on the batteries? If so, then surely the inverte…

Hi All, I recently bought a Mecer 5KV inverter. It states I must use 8 gauge wire for AC IN/OUT. Went to Builders they did know what I was talking about. They gave me stove installation wire. Will this work? Does anyone have gauge conversion to mm used in SA please?

Hi Guys. Hope all is well. I was wondering if the Venus GX was compatible with the Victron Multi 48/1200/13-16 1000W Inverter/Charger . We would like it to talk to the Pylon US3000B. The loads in our Fiber -WIFI hut is only 250W. We require long backup times with limited space. I am opting for the small multi as it has 13A charger and is the smallest I could find. Hello everyone yesterday I have decided to parallel my MKS 5KW together and I had factory firmware V72.61. unfortunately, this firmware downgrades my unit to 4000W instead of 5000W. so now I want to roll back the firmware and bring my unit back to 5000W. beside my other unit with factory firmware 74.10 without a change in its firmware. here is a photo of my MKS 5KW. I have tried to ask Voltronic to send the original firmware but they answer that V72.61 is correct firmware and I would change control board! I still believe that there is a dummy firmware or any other version can let us upgrade the firmware to 74.10 or compatible firmware with this …

Hi I have 4 x 3.6kW Pylontechs coupled to an Axpert 5 mkii with 10 x 350W panels in two strings of 5 each. In every daily cycle I get a code 04 warning (battery low). I seldom get to the full charge at 53.2V. It ussually stops around 52V at the end of the day. As soon as PV charge stops I get code 04 at say around 49 - 51V battery power. It takes the whole night to get to say 48.5V when the PVs kick in again. Is this normal for Lithium Ferrous batteries. It seems that their band of operation is fairly narrow at 48V to 53.2V. Regards

Hi all, I am new so please forgive the ignorance where applicable 😂 After installing the inverter, switched power on....nothing no light no sound nothing. Must mention no battery nor PV connected only eskom at AC IN. Is this normal as I did not want to use until I have the rest but just wanted to see if it would turn on. Please advise.
