I have a question regarding the Mecer/Voltronic Axpert MKS II inverter setup in parallel with Pylontech batteries? So the setup is as follows: 2x Axpert MKS II Inverters coupled in Parallel 8x pylontech US2000B batteries Centurion Solar ICC Problem: Everything works perfectly during times when the battery capacity is not 100%. As soon as the batteries are fully charged at 100% and the PV runs the loads that remain during sunshine hours, the inverter gives me an error (03) which is battery voltage is too high. During this time the inverters switch off for a while and come back on after about 30 seconds. The settings suggested that wer…

We have a Mecer 5kva inverter with 6 Panels each 270 whp and 8 batteries each 120 ah the error is 56 my husband did reset the inverter but keep on tripping the inverter is still under warranty but now the guy that did the installation says that Mecer is giving problems this is now the 2nd inverter within one year i would also like to find out if the inverter kicks to eskom it trips aswell and then the message on the pre paid box says earth leakage?? I really tought that solar would give me peace of mind but this is just the oppsite im fed up with solar we did it to get rid of loadshedding and also to lower our cost but its now coating me more each month can any one …

I have a strange issue, I have a 5.5kw Diesel generator and 1x 5kva Mecer Axpert inverter with latest Firmware loaded. When I connect my generator the inverter detects the grid voltage but just wont use generator to charge the battery. I can hear it try to switch to grid and back every second. I see the generator runs at 52hz but even had the generator set to as close to 50hz as possible but same issue. If I connect my 3.5kw inverter generator I have no issues. Anyone have a solution for this issue. Thanks

Battery drained all the way last night (RCD tripped) and system shutdown. Look at the picture - when will it pick up the loads again? When the battery reports 100%?

Goodwe ES 4.6kW Hybrid Inverter Any current opinions on this unit? Would ideally go Multiplus II + CC (Smart 150/70) + Wifi + CCGX but the Goodwe offers much the same (except for the CCGX) and two built in MPPT's (which could play in my favour as my roof gets shade) for about R18k less.... Thats almost a Pylon's price... Yes, my first choice would be blue, but R18k is a lot of moola especially if you need all the other stuff too...

New out of box axpert 3kva (Easun) immediately reports error 5 (overheat or shorted output). It does this even with ac output wires not connected. There is no voltage on AC output terminals. Fans run full and continuous while PV connected and charging 48v battery bank (but fans turn off after 30sec. if PV wires removed). Also display continues to show the pv icon charging batteries even with PV input wires disconnected. PV input terminals show identical voltage as battery bank with PV wires removed both on display and with multimeter. triple checked all voltages, current, polarity correct and well within the units max limits. This is the 4th axpert I have installed so I a…

I'm busy preparing for (hopefully) installing my MulitplusII this weekend. I have very limited space to install (living in a duplex), so I was thinking of installing the MultiplusII on the wall above the battery cabinet (lithium batteries). That will minimize cable length, keep everything together, and conserve precious space. But in the Multiplus's manual it states: Will installing it above the battery cabinet, with clearance of more than a meter between the battery and the inverter be acceptable? I understand the concern in case of flooded batteries, but most telcos have no issue with installing 4 strings of 190/200 Ah VRLAs directly below the rectifier…

Hi, last week I downloaded the InfiniSolar V User Manuel to get a printable copy as my eyes doesn't seem to like the small print miniature manuals that comes with the Invertors, might be age related, or even memory related as I can never remember where I put my glasses. In the Manuel, i found quite a few functions and displays that is not available on my Inverter. Made an Inquiry, and after waiting for a couple of days for the factory to confirm that my Hardware is compatible with the firmware update, I received the new firmware via e-mail, as its not available for download yet. Now for the guys like @plonkster and @Coulomb or Anyone Else that has attempted upda…

Hi please help with Axpert invertor settings with Pylontech batteries I have parallel Axpert 5kw invertors and 2 pylontech batteries. So far all working well, however my system switches back to Eskom when batteries are at 60% SOC. What settings on ICC do I need to change so that the invertor only switches to Eskom at 40% SOC.

System details : - Victron MultiPlus 2 - DC MPTT coupled - BYD battery - Grid-tied - Grid feedback NOT allowed - DVCC enabled I am using Scheduled Charging to prevent battery discharge during certain times of the day. "Stop on SOC" set to 50%. Min SOC is set to 60%,so while grid is up, should never reach 50%. As I understand the documentation, battery discharge is not allowed while the schedule is active. And this is mostly true - I do not see "large" discharges from the batery. However, I do observe a continuous, fluctuating "trickle" discharge while charge schedule is active. I easily lose 5% SOC to this in a +-6 hour p…

So I have the Mecer 3kVA 24V (Plus model) off grid inverter that can take up to 1500W of PV. Currently I have 1555W (~260 x 6) panels attached to it in 3 x parallel strings each containing 2 panels in series. As such the PV voltage is in the 60-70V range. My question is can I keep adding more strings of two panels in parallel without causing issues? Would there be any disadvantage, I know that if I have the inverter on on a sunny day and the load switches on and off often that the voltage can overshoot and occasionally push 30V to the batteries, would this make that situation worse? The PV voltage would stay the same of course and my expectation is that it just…

I know a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing, but this issue is seriously frying my brain. I have a 5kVA Axpert Inverter, with what I think is a fault. Although it was working, I noticed that some of my LED light strings were on, yet dimmed, despite the switch being off. Called my sparky, he came and started tracing the fault, and found that there was voltage (220V) between the Earth and Neutral connectors on the AC Output side. I sent the Inverter back to the Suppliers for repair, and they tell me there's nothing wrong with it - they can't find any faults. It has just arrived back, and before installing it, we were running some tests on it. Withou…

Hi All, I am new to the forum and to the installation of domestic off grid power systems. I have just completed the installation, in my home, of a 5kVA inverter with a 48VDC/200Ah battery bank. No solar has been installed as yet but it is planned for the near future. The inverter is branded 'MPP Solar', CPU version 00072.40, and looks to be identical to the Axpert and Mecer models. My distribution board has been rewired into two sections, one side for geysers, oven and AC's, the other for essential circuits such as lighting, fridge freezers and the likes. At the moment without solar it is running in bypass mode and is working well with the exception of ex…

We recently installed the following system: Axpert 5Kw Inverter 6 x Canadian 335w Solar panels 1 x Huawei 100ah 48v Battery Settings on inverter is as follows: 01: SOL 02: 30A 03: UPS 11: 30A 12: 49V (reason for 49V is that we don't use to much Battery power during the day) - Does it make sense to you guys ??? 13: 51V (Same as floating V) - is it fine like this?? 16: OSO - Should I add utility also? 26: 53.5V - (As per attached pic taken from the Huawei battery user manual ) - do you guys agree?? 27: 51V - (As per attached pic taken from the Huawei battery user manual ) - do you guys agree?? 29: 47V - …

I just received a call from the Mrs back home who said that a few seconds after turning the inverter on, there was a hard knocking noise that came from inside. There was no load as it was just turned on and the batteries are fully charged. It’s the Devel LPT 6000-248. Any ideas what would cause that? Unfortunately I’ll only be home much later tonight to check it.

Good day all My inverter was overloaded when the microwave oven was used. I have had overloads before but waited some minutes and the inverter worked properly again. However this time the inverter stopped producing AC output, gave 3 beeps and shut down. After some minutes I tried to restart it. The panel showed the battery symbol with one bar only and a voltage of 1.1v and shut down almost immediately. The battery bank has 26v confirmed from my MM. I tried to start from having a small load attached to prevent any low load protection from being the culprit however thie unit refuses to invert from the battery bank now. The error showing is 01 with the led continuously …

Hi Guys I bought a Mecer 3kva inverter in December 2018 and 4 x 12v Gel batteries. Did a simple connection, ie batteries to inverter / mains to inverter, inverter out powered a few ac items with no problems. A week ago got my electrical contractor to wire into house DB board with dedicated breakers etc, cut utility power and fed 230 v to a dedicated phase which powers fridge and DSTV, all fine for a few minutes then LCD flashing with buzzer and fault light full on. Since then cannot get inverter to power up normally. If inverter connected to mains correctly how can inverter blow or is it a dud inverter ?

Hi Guys, Hi Guys, Please can someone explain to me the reason why i am drawing so much current from the grid when my PV being generated is close to my requirement in the picture below? Is this because the inverter can only supply 2400w continuously? (Multiplus ii 48/3000)

I have noticed other topics on the affect of inrush current How does one cater for this when you have two fridges, a dishwasher, washing maschine, dryer etc Should one size your inverter for this or does it not pose a real problem? Should this subject not be more comprehensively be discussed?

Hi Anyone here have a similar experience? I recently semi-installed a Multiplus II with 4 x Ritar 100AH lead-carbon batteries. As my DB need to be overhauled, I decided to connect the unit up as a charger only, to keep the batteries charged until we are ready to complete the installation. Out the box, with the default settings, everything was fine, and the battery settled onto a float within an hour. Next morning, I had a little time and decided to use VE Config 3 and a MK3 interface to check the settings, I mainly wanted to lower the charge current to 15 amps. The process proceeded quite smoothly and the system was restarted with the new setting…

Hello everyone, Great forum I stumbled upon while researching a 3-phase 10kW hybrid inverter. I have some questions about our inverter and hope you guys can help me out. Type inverter: We have this inverter connected to 3 strings of 4 batteries in parallel (48V, 150Ah) and 330W * 8 solar panels. We currently have grid connected as well, but the system is designed to possibly go off-grid and maybe have a generator as AC input. We do not want to feed back in to the grid. If I understand correct these inverter are rebranded by companies. We setup the inverters with solarpower. We want to read out the battery capacity and if the capacity is too l…
