I got my Goodwe. I un-boxed it. This thing is a work of art. The build quality of the unit is amazing. Obviously it has not been connected but for the price I am very surprised at the build quality. It is similar or better that the Victron units that I have played with. Very solid. I got a smart meter and a connection device with all the connectors in the box. It has its own app and its own wifi connection.

Hi guys. Need help for a friend. 3x axpert inverters in parallel, firmware of one is 72.30 and two is 74.40. The slaves are having an issue due to the firmware not being the same. What version of firmware can be loaded? The one is a 64v option and the other two is not which seems to be a problem to get a compatible firmware. Thanks Jacques

I have an Axpert 3K [plus] using 2 x 105 AH batteries x 24v system with 4 solar panels. After load shedding last Friday, Eskom power came on and the batteries started re-charging, but the lower part of the inverter started to overheat and smoke. I by-passed the local load so that the inverter only had to handle the charging current [set at 30A], and the fan, going flat out, slowly bought the heat down. I put the local back on to the inverter and everything was OK. My question is, what happened here? Only 3 things can cause overheating - Over-current, no fan or charging at maximum for too long. The system is set to "SOL".

The setup is like this: 48v bank of AGMs with only consumer / charger being the inverter (from the grid, for now) Venus GX doing the reporting No external battery monitoring The state of charge as reported by the venus console was 100 % - then we had our first bout of load shedding yesterday. The inverter was sitting in "storage mode" before the load shedding started. After 2 hours of load shedding the state of charge was reported as 95 % - very little loads running. When the grid returned the inverter switched right back into storage mode, and state of charge ended like this (about 24 hours later). I am curious as to how the multiplus does…

This used to work as expected. I use schedule charging with a 5% SOC to prevent discharging the battery from 16:00 - 18:00. These days when it kicks in only a few hundred watts are used from solar to zero out the grid (not enough). As soon as I turn SC off the solar immediately climbs to cover ALL the loads. Any ideas? It never used to work this way. EDIT: Almost looks like it's just covering the Critical Loads and not taking the AC Loads into account.

Hi, Until recently my Infinisolar inverter has been configured in Grid tie with Backup (II) mode like so: I have a ET112 meter that is used to block feed in to the grid - connected using the add on RS485 board. Setup like this my inverter charges the batteries from solar only. Pushes power to the grid side - using the ET112 data to avoid pushing to the council. In the evening or when the PV is insufficient the battery is drawn on to make up the shortfall. @Rautenk went through my inverter behaviour when set like this and gave me the signoff. So this is all OK, but since we face shedding I tried to reconfigure settings so that the batte…

Is there any manufacturer that produces a battery inverter for AC coupling or running a microgrid that is at a second-tier pricepoint? Something like the SMA Sunny Island or Victron Multigrid at around the price of an Axpert?

Hi, we recently purchased a large solar system with 2 Lithium ION 3.522KWH batteries, 9 330watt Canadian solar panels and a 5KVA Mercer Inverter. we are just having some issues with it and maybe someone can help clear things for me. For some reason the solar panels cut off and stop powering the house and the batteries. We got an electrician in to adjust some settings to configure with the batteries as we suspected the inverter and the batteries were not communicating properly. We changed them to our liking and also to what he thought was preferable but then the solar panels started to hang and not put power in to the house and not charge the batteries from about 10am onwa…

I want to purchase a 50kw 3 phase grid tied inverter(attached) for my bakery however out of the required 50kw panels required my roof top can only take about 30kw(97 x 330w panels) worth of panels. How will this affect the output performance of my inverter? Will it still work? Solis-50K_Quad (1).pdf

Dear all valuable members, I have a MKS 5 kva inverter. It was running fine and I switch off the outlet power in the night with 3 cell battery showing. Unit turned off after few seconds as it is normal with no solar power and outlet ac power switched off. But in the morning around 8 am with shinning sun . I found that inverter is still in off with running fan. No display, no light indication, no buzzer sound, only fan running. When I switched on the ac outlet power from the inverter, nothing happened, only fan running. I need your valuable feedback. Regards,

Good day all I am trying to set my two EasySolar systems up to use the ESS function. However after installing the ESS assistants using VeConfigure, the inverters start flashing the low battery voltage led and then disconnect. My battery bank is sitting on 52v (Pylontech US3000) so there is no actual low voltage present. My parameters for the ESS Assistant are as follows: Country/Grid Code Standard : Other not compliant to any grid code standard (there is no option for South Africa in the live setup as given in the Fake Target With Full Options setup) LOM Detection: Type B Transfer Switch: Unchecked Inverter Tab: Left on default Charge…

Please can someone help. I am the least technical guy yo will ever meet and I urgently need someone to refer me to an expert who can assist me with checking/setting up my Axpert 4kw off-grid inverter. The long story is that I bought this and had it installed (with batteries) some 4 years ago and it was worked wonderfully as far as I know. I have however now added some solar panels and want to program the inverter to use as much of the solar as possible all the time until I then go to the batteries and when they are done to go to Eskom. Can someone please provide me with a contact who would be willing (obviously I would pay) to come out and sort this out for me? …

Hi everybody, I am planning to connect an Axpert King 5Kw to a bank of PylonTech batteries. The existing bank consists of 2x US2000 plus units. Question is if it will be possible to add a PylonTech US3000B battery to the bank in parallel and also will it be difficult to get the correct settings for the combination? Any comments or ideas please

Hi everyone , I need help. I have an installation of 4.8 kW PV system with an Axpert MKS 5kVA 48vDC Inverter I have recently bought a 3.5KWh pylon tech battery and connected it to the system. I have programmed the inverter to be Sol priority, hoping to use PV during the day, then batteries and switch over to utility when battery power is low. What happens however is that the PV kicks in early in the morning, powers load and charges battery. When the battery gets to about 54 V the system goes to battery and switches of PV. Then the battery gets drained and after a while when the system shuts down. program: 01= Sol 12= 44…

Good day all. my local supplier is requesting some values before a warranty for the Pylontech batteries can be activated. The problem is that the values relate to Voltronic inverters and I have Easysolar inverters (Victron Multiplus). Can someone please assist me in where to get the corresponding values with my Easysolar: Program 02: Max charging current Bulk charging voltage (C.V. voltage) Program 05: Battery type Floating charge voltage Program 12: Setting voltage point back to utility source Battery cut-off discharging voltage when grid is available Program 13: setting voltage point back to battery mode Battery re-discharging voltage when gr…

Hi all I've just got my ICC hooked up to my newly installed Axpert King parallel setup (2 inverters). First off, I only have one Pi running at this point, but believe that I need two, one for each inverter. Anyway I'm running in SUB at the moment as I have a Narada lithium battery and obviously these inverters don't monitor SOC very well, so I'm just waiting on a cable from the good ICC people before switching into SBU. I'm looking at my PV and Grid graph and it seems rather odd, with constant drop offs in PV and grid kicking in I believe to make up the momentary shortfall. Any thoughts? I can't imagine this is normal behaviour, so maybe settings relat…

Good day. 1) My Multiplus inverters in my EasySolar systems supplies the load correctly when drawing power from the solar panels and battery bank. However, when attempting to activate AC input from the grid, the 63 A RCD output breaker trips after about 30 seconds. I have measured the voltage between earth and neutral at the grid input side and there is a 0.440 v reading. This should be 0 v if I am correct. Could this be tripping the RCD and if so, can I bypass this RCD and go straight to the circuit breaker after it, which is part of the EasySolar system? 2) My ESS setup brings the low voltage light on and prevents the inverter from inverting. I have set the pa…

Hi folks, My solar system is acting really weird. I got 8 sealed lead-acid 12v 260ah (2 groups of 4 for a 48v system) in order to have a good safety buffer for cloudy days. It turns out the performance of these batteries is like 10% of what is advertised. I'm not sure if one of them might be faulty and is harming the whole system. I tried measuring each one with a multimeter, but the only difference in voltage I get in a particular battery is only of 0.05 - 0.15 V (depending on when I measure). Is this significant? All others have only a 0.01V difference (more or less) between them. Of course this is with all the batteries still connected together. …

Hi Are there any SANS approve hybrid inverter that doesn't trip a prepaid meter? My installer says goodwe 4.6kw will trip my prepaid meter and wants to install a Axpert 5kw MKS now, but looks like there is a issue with the axpert also if I look at the " Is your system legal?" section...

Hi All, I monitor 3 Axpert UPSs (one ks 1000 and two mks 2000) by using WatchPower software. I noticed a big problem in Data Log in the software. The log does not refresh for other UPSs that are not currently selected in the main window of the software. for example: UPS1 is currently selected in the main window and in the line mode. If it's status changed from Line to Battery mode, the log data is refreshed for UPS1. If the UPS1 still selected in the main window, and if one of the other UPSs changed it's states from Line to Battery mode or vice versa, the data log does not refresh the mode for these UPSs. This means that the log data gives wrong information. …
