Has anyone used a Luminous branded inverter (such as the EcoVolt)? I was looking at one for a small backup purposes but I can't find many reviews on it.

Good day, I want to get an inverter to supply power to some of my house during the rolling blackouts so looking at the 5KW axpert series. At first This would be the inverter and battery bank to have the lights on and run a few plugs and expand from there. However as funds permit I want to add Solar panels after words to offset power usage during the day at least, not just there for charging the batteries, so I need an inverter that can use the power from the panels on the output and also blend in utility power if the panels don't make enough to run the load. Hi. Thanks for this wonderful forum with a wealth of information. I have an Axpert VMIII 5KW with 2 X US3000 Pylontechs and 10 X 355W Canadian solar panels. I set the Max charging rate to 40A (2 X 20A per battery) as suggested by my supplier (and elsewhere) and after my solar panels were installed I changed the AC charging rate to 2A. However, the Max charging rate appears to be auto adjusting itself irrespective of whether I change it on the inverter or via Watchpower. I've seen the Charging current go as high as 53ish A at the 88% threshold late morning with the Max charging rate showing 70A even though I just changed it, then a little later with the bat…

I have a Mercer Axpert MKS II that I am temporarily connecting for load shedding as a big UPS until fund are available to connect the hole house. There are so many threads on Neutral - Ground connection after the inverter and it is hard to decide what the most accepted method is. I got a Grounding box with the inverter that makes it easier to decide how to conect it. However I have not seen a single picture or heard of anyone using a Grounding box with the MKS II inverter. Google searching for 2 hours doesn't yield results, probably because this inverter model is pretty new. I have purchased 2 of the RCT AXVM1-1K inverters for a friend and I to seamlessly combat loadshedding. It is not going according to plan. Hi guys. I'm hitting a wall with my 2 Mecer Inverters. For a year and half, my 2 inverters, in parallels, worked flawlessly. 3 months ago, one of the boards blew. Mustek took 3 attempts to finally fix the board (sic) but didn't flash the correct firmware on the faulty inverter. They ask my provider to flash firmware 74.40 on both inverter. They provided the software. My provider didn't manage to do it, I had to learn how to do it and did it. All is well that ends well... except not so much. Due to the size of my flat the only place I can have the axpert mks2 inverter installed is on the wall in the lounge...not pretty. Is it possible to have a small cupboard mounted over it with the door having slatted ventilated louvers?

I have been asked by a non technical, non practical person to suggest a unit that would enable use of an LED TV + decoder, together with a couple of lights, that could be used during nighttime load shedding. Hi, I am trying to figure out what cable is required and what the process is to upgrade the firmware on my inverter. I only have the USB printer type port on my inverter. (see image below) I currently use this port for monitoring using an USB AB cable. I have read thru some forums and determined that the requirement is a rj45 to serial converter. (It was stated that one can not use the computers usb port to upgrade the firmware. Must be the rj45 port) But how do I then convert from rj45 to serial to usb AB? Hi all, I've searched forums and google and I haven't managed to find an answer to my question, I hope someone can advise. I have a Luminous Cruze 3,5kVa inverter installed as backup to supply lights and fridge. The batteries need replacing, is it possible to use a lithium ion battery with this inverter or is it best to stay with lead acid and replace batteries every 3 years? Alternatively would it be best to replace the whole setup for something that could be converted to solar? Thanks

Hi! How high does the inverter and switches need to be off the ground to pass a CoC? This is in my garage, but I guess that is irrelevant. If they are too low what would be the easiest solution to rectify the matter ? Would I just need to move up the AC side ? Would a lock box of some sort fit over them ? Thanks!

So I have been wondering about what it means using a non NRS approved inverter vs an approved NRS inverter for Backup/UPS. Do you have to have a manual change over to be able to power the loads or can it still be "connected" to the grid and do pass through? For example using an Axpert only for UPS not an embedded SSEG. What does this mean for charging from the Grid if the case is you can't use it as pass through?

I have now installed an Axpert 1.5Kva 12v; 2x180AGM's; UPS mode When it is in battery mode and the kettle is switched on the inverter (quite expectedly) trips. Switch the kettle off and normal operation is restored. So it works perfectly well. My question - when the Axpert is in in-line mode (ie normal mains supply) the kettle activates a code 7 error flashing "overload". But that is all. Nothing trips. The water boils and the kettle is switched off and everything carries on normally. (it is a 1400 watt kettle) What does this error mean? Can a 1200 watt inverter handle loads beyond that limit in in-line mode? If not - what will happen if it is forced to …

Hey all, New here but been a lurker for a while now, just wanted to say this product has been doing me amazingly well and I'd highly recommend it if you just planning on having a couple of items on during the dreaded load shedding!. Currently I have my 65" TV , Fibre router, WiFi router, Xbox, soundbar and sub running off this unit, after 4 hours of load shedding it had not dropped to 50 percent so for my needs thats just perfect. The only gripe I have is that there is a slight humming sound but I think thats due to it not being a pure sine wave inverter. Might look at getting another one for my PC. Hi All. I just installed a Goodwe Hybrid inverter with solar array. Its a grid tied system for now. Started all up and no faults shown and everything works well. My lights and plugs are connected to back up from the inverter and only my geyser and Kitchen appliances (fridge, washing machine, microwave, kettle) connected to the grid. What does happen more often than not is that when my solar array produce more power than what I can consume/use, it pushes the excess power to the grid and then trips the Goodwe inverter from the grid. The restart of the grid takes about 15 seconds. This whole process repeats itself randomly. I am not selling to the grid. …

Have 3 questions with regards to RCT-AXPERT 3K-48V inverter. 1. Does anyone know if RCT-AXPERT 3K-48V is compatible with pylontech us3000? I seem to find info stating us2000 compatibility only. 2. I assume that we can use ths inverter in backup mode with no panels? If this is correct are the changes made on the buttons on the inverter? 3. Does the inverter come with a monitoring tool to monitor battery and load usage? if not what are the options available. Looking forward to feedabck.

Good morning All, I have had 2 Mecer mks2 inverters installed in parallel, the one I am told is the master, when we have load shedding this one goes into fault mode I turn it off and once load shedding is over I turn it on and it seems to work fine again. Both machines beep for around 10minutes at a time when the sun sets and rises, the installer tells me this is preprogrammed and is fine. Has anyone else experienced this with these Inverters?

Hi, I have a potential problem Axpert 24v inverter 2 ops240 batteries (brand new) Off grid with generator backup. So today the batteries were on 25v and I started the motor to charge them, within 5 minutes the axpert says the battery voltage is 28.8 (that is my bulk and float setting voltage) and then the charging light stays on such indicates the batteries are full and not charging anymore. As soon as I put the motor of the batteries go back to 25. Something. What could be the problem here?

Has anyone had any experience with the Cyberpower Inverters, I am looking at this unit which I can get for quite a good deal. Any advice or comments?
