Hello, I have PV system with Infinisolar E5.5, 14x365W PV panels (5110W) and 400Ah OPzS battery (48V). I have to limit feed-in to the grid power to 3600W, which I did by setting parameter "Max. feed-in grid power". The problem is, by limiting feed-in power, I also limited PV panel input to value "Max. feed-in grid power" + ~500W, regardles my household load. For example, if I set feed-in power to 3600W, and have load 2000W, PV panel input is limited to 4000-4100W, so I feed to utility grid 2000-2100W max. If I set feed-in power to 4000W, and have load 2000W, PV panel input is limited to 4400-4500W, and feed to utility grid 2400-2500W max. And so on... Sure, I ca…

I have a Kodak vm iii 5 kva, the manufactures suggestion is a 50 amp circuit breaker , I have three phase grid supply and the three phase breaker( on the dB inside the house ) is rated at 35 amps per phase,. The house is quite old, even though I have a prepaid meter, the old meter box outside the house ( with a spinning meter in series ) has three breakers rated at 50 amps each ( with seals on them , I am assuming it is 50 amps per phase supply from the council ) As I will supply the inverter from one phase, do I change to a 50 amp breaker or stay with the 35 amp supply Thanks

Any one here that has experienced this: Sems portal graphic only goes up to 50% SOC for batteries even if they are charged at 100%. Now with bad weather they are showing 40% but the graphic shows 20% - see pics below. Should we maybe try a soft reset on PV Master?

I will be replacing my Axpert 3K inverter with the Axpert 4K inverter. My question I am seeking an answer is this: Currently I connect my Raspberry Pi via the USB port on the Pi, to the USB port on the Axpert 3K inverter. How do I connect my Raspberry Pi to the Axpert 4K inverter as it only has an ethernet port? Do I connect the inverter and pi using an ethernet cable? If so a straight cable or cross over? Inverter Info: Axpert Mks 4K 48VDC Inverter. 4 x 370W PV Panels 4 x 12V 200Ah Deltec (Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) Gel batteries Axpert MKS-MKS-1-5KVA manual-compressed.pdf

Dear All, kindly help me. I have the following setup 1. Axpert MKS 3kva 24v plus. Spec: 145Voc, mppt max 1500watts 2. 6 x 320watts Flames Solar panel. Spec: 8.28Imp, 38.86Vmp, 8.86Isc, 45.85Voc. 3 in series and 2 parallel strings. Total power= 1920w 3. Four Tubular 220ah batteries; two in series and parallel My observation is that during midday when the sun is at its peak, and batteries are fully charged,( I.e batt: 0A, batt: 27.7v), the inbuilt charge controller have not taken load beyond 980watts even when it seems it should draw more power from the panels with great reserve. Please any reason for this?

Morning everyone Recently bought a package deal from a installer and it's been a disaster of note. Objective of the installation was to power my aquariums 24/7, and keep the lights on, that's it. It's 2 x 300l, 1 x 550l and 1 x 820l aquariums, all fresh water (so no protein skimmers, dosers or wave makers running), at night total power draw is around 300w, and during the day with the lights running 450w. Power use spikes when water changes are done, as the heaters need to run a bit to get the water temps back up, so I'm careful to always change water in the mornings on weekends when the sun is shining. Package is as follows: Axpert King 5kw, fed by 6 x 330w Cana…

Good morning, I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on this. I have a Synapse 4.0+ inverter with Li-Ion battery and Solar panels. If I use the SUB setting to give output priority to solar and the utility power is OFF, everything works as expected - solar power has priority on the output and whatever is needed on top of that is taken from the battery. However, when the utility power is on, it only uses utility for the output load and the solar power is only used for charging the batteries. Even when the battery is fully charged and nothing is pulled from the solar panels, it will still only use utility for the output and never utilize the solar p…

Hi guys I'm installing the above mentioned inverter in my camping trailer. * Is 10mm² cable overkill (max 3.5m long)? * Do I need to fuse the + close to battery? * I have two 105ah batteries in parallel. Do I just connect + & - to one of the batteries or to + on one battery and - on the other? Stay safe guys

Hi all, I have an Axpert 4k being fed by two arrays and charging two 7.4kWh Solar MD lithium batteries. Between approx 10h50 and 12h30 the Axpert shows the PV array giving 2.45 to 2.65 kW charge and staying there. If I disconnect an array and then reconnect, the Axpert shows 3.74kW being 2.3kW from one array and 1.44kW from the other. The batteries are at 68%. The inverter then carries on happily all day and the batteries are 100% by 14h00. We then irrigate and heat water until 17h00 using the panels leaving the batteries fully charged. This happens every day. The inverter was in parallel and connected to the low power array so this was not noticed. Now we are ba…

I have a Goodwe ES 4.6kW Hybrid Inverter connected to solar panels (6 x Canadian Solar 355W) and batteries (2 x Pylontech US 3000) I am running in normal mode Whenever the Eskom goes down, the inverter supplies the load (power to the house) solely from the batteries. The solar panels stop contributing towards the load as it has done when the Eskom power was on. This despite the sun shining brightly Can anyone give me advise on how to change this?

I have put in this inverter it has at the moment 2 x 48volt 100amp hauwei batteries. Intend adding a further 2 Have it set up “off grid l” says in inverter mode when PV not available must use battery first then grid. When I turn off the utility the whole machine drops out and everything on it, and reboots it’s self Instead of actually transitioning straight to batteries. When utility comes back it is quite fine and moves onto utility no problem, with out dropping out. any ideas?

I have the Axpert MKS II 5K with no battery(still saving and deciding) connected to 8*275w panels (all in series) Sometimes at sunset or sunrise the transition is smooth but other time it beeps and drops the entire load with no error message. I have turned setting 22 (Beeps while primary source is interrupted.) to “Off” so it is not that beep Is there a way to tell the MKS not to expect or look for a battery (if this is the problem)? Or is there a way to set a cut-off and not try get power from the panels if there is under a certain ceiling available (50w or 100w let’s say or under a certain PV voltage perhaps)? Do you think this issue will disa…

Good day everyone. I"m thinking of installing a solis 1.5kw grid tie inverter at my house but I do not want to feed back. Has anyone used the feed back limiting feature of these inverters and if you have did it play nice with your prepaid meter or did you have to change to a smart meter ? Thank you

I understand that when [05] is set to Use, that this enables [26] [27] [29] What are the results of using Fld and Agm? Fld seems to force 26,27, and 29 to the default values? Does Agm do the same? When would one ever want to use Fld or Agm? It is very confusing to have setting 5 default to Fld, not realizing that it has an impact on other important settings!

Hi, I know this subject has been discussed quite a few times already, but my situation is a bit of a catch 22. I have an Axpert 2kw inverter with 2 x 105ah deep cycle lead acid batteries and 2 x 330w solar panels. The main objective for the system is basically to be a backup/ups for lights. The total load is about 150w, so quite low. I would like to make use of solar as much as possible, but I don't want to discharge the batteries too low as I would like to get as long a service life out of the batteries as possible. At the moment I have set solar and battery power as first priority with the voltage where the system switches back to utility at 25v…

I have an installation consisting of an Axpert MKS 5KVA 48V connected to 4 OmniPower 12V 260ah batteries. A little while ago I had to have the inverter bypassed due to it misbehaving with a fault, I was away from home so I cannot recall the exact issue. I had the inverter reconnected yesterday and much to my surprise everything works. The batteries are charging and now show a voltage of 53.6 measured at the breaker between the inverter and the battery bank. Everything functions as expected. When testing the system and killing grid power however the inverter comes up with an Error Code 56 (Battery Connection is Open), followed by a Warning Code 04 (Low Battery) and t…

Hi guys, I noticed that the amp's drew by the load, and the load watt's does not corelate. The load is 1200 W, but the amp's is 22A. This is what I see with the icc software. Now using P=IV, were V is 230V, the current should be +- 5 Amp. I have 2 inverters in parallel, and I'm looking at the page showing both inverters values. Inverter 1: 550W 11A Inverter 2: 650W 11A What am i missing?? Just now the water pump came on, and the power was 1150W and 1200W , and the current was 22A and 23A on the respective inverters. So the totals is 2350W with 45A. It's just not adding up!!!!
