February 22, 20206 yr Hi Charl I smell a rat: https://powerforum.co.za/topic/4187-solarguru-rsacoza/ and https://powerforum.co.za/topic/4822-lfeli-48100tb-batteries/ Maybe the clever people on this forum can check the IP address thingies...

February 22, 20206 yr Guys there is a serious shortage of lithium's in the country, how on earth can anybody offer a special?? Normal supply and demand.....
February 22, 20206 yr Author I see it is the same phone number as the solarcity RSA website Edited February 22, 20206 yr by charl Spelling
February 23, 20206 yr Looks like a fake physical address. Can't find any mention of it in the directory listing for that mall.
February 26, 20206 yr We did some investigation. The Jhb warehouse brought some to check. Someone imported a container load full of used train batteries. They come from China and India. Apparently they are replaced every 5 years. The guys selling them are brokering the batteries and getting a cut - they don't own them. What we looked at had the branding spray painted out. Said they did have new units and would come back, but we have not seen them since.
March 18, 20206 yr same guys here. I almost fell for this trap http://solarstorage-experts.co.za/index.php/product/6kwh-lithium-ion-batteries-with-10yrs-warranty-last-chance-holiday-stock-clearance-sale-50-off/
July 30, 20214 yr They look to be operating as solarflow.co.za now. https://solarflow.co.za/index.php/product/6kwh-lithium-ion-batteries-with-10yrs-warranty-last-chance-holiday-stock-clearance-sale-50-off/ According to the company reg no that they are using on the site they are IKHUMUZI TRADING ENTERPRISE No registered accounts since 2013 http://www.companies-southafrica.com/ikhumuzi-trading-enterprise-hdk0/ Smells fishy
July 30, 20214 yr If it's the same guys I spoke to some time ago, they only deal in bank transfers/cash, no payment by credit card which immediately makes me suspicious of their 10 year warranty!
