March 15, 20215 yr Hi, I finalized my hybrid system design that will suit my needs. I will be looking at a Deye Hybrid inverter, Lithium batteries, 2 solar arrays of total, cabling, mounting hardware, etc. I will be doing the installation myself to save the installation cost. I am looking for a reputable online supplier (preferably in the Western Cape) but any reputable online store will suffice. I have looked at prices on google and there seems to be a lot of online retailers, with large price differences for the same items and also its difficult to know who to trust. A lot of the online stores does not show a physical address, office landline number or CIPC and VAT registration numbers, which of course for me raise red flags. As a solar installation is a high dollar investment, I do not want to risk someone running with my money. Any suggestions? Thanks Jacques
March 15, 20215 yr Try the Power Forum store (on this site). Have not used them personally, but read good reviews. If you have nerves of steel, Inverter Warehouse has good prices but unbelievably abysmal service. Phones are nor answered, email are not replied to (including, in my case the email that said "please can you confirm that you have received the R200k I have paid you"...) I have also used Bonanza Technologies - the phone is answered by the owner and emails are promptly relied to. Prices slightly higher, service infinitely better. Disclaimer: this is based purely on my own experience, now a year in the past. Other may well have had different experiences, or things may have changed...

I have a few good leads for the inverter and batteries. Next is to find the required solar panels and mounting hardware...
March 16, 20215 yr I used Power-forum store, happy with the service. Steve has very competitive price, its worth a quote.
March 16, 20215 yr I've had great service from solar-shop.co.za - they were also great at replying to emails and pricing was competitive. And all the info is available on their website.
March 16, 20215 yr Author Thanks for all the recommendations so far. It has been helpful so far. What are actually the differences between the Sunsynk/Deye/Fusion, as they all look similar to me (except the UI)? Are there any difference in functions and which one is the better one? I got some replies that the Sunsynk seems to be the better choice. Which one is the "original" so to speak, or are they all manufactured by the same company and rebranded? The Sunsynk's manual is the most comprehensive. Also, if i buy the Sunsynk, is the wifi dongle included and do I need the datalogger if I will be using Solarman as an online monitoring interface? It is amazing how one person can receive bad service from a supplier and another receive outstanding one. I have had good dealings with inverter warehouse on the few times I have dealt with them, my goods delivered on time and never had to phone or email them. Once I paid and order confirmed, I just sent whatsApp text to arrange the date and time for delivery
March 30, 20215 yr I was in the market for a new inverter and found it itnerfrica shop, https://www.itnerfricashop.co.za . After an enquiry Donald phoned me back and his service was probably one of the best experiences I have had. It was a Friday afternoon when I placed the order and he personal committed to deliver the order and promptly delivered to me on Friday evening, unbelievable. I can highly recommend these guys their knowledge and service and prices are amazing.
March 31, 20215 yr I can recommend Aspergo. I bought a couple of Dyness batteries from them. Exceptional service.

He designed and specified my full system, every single thing down to the very last nut and bolt, and then recommended a great installer as well. During the delivery period he was constantly in touch with me, communicating progress, and after the install as well, to find out if I was still happy. I was deeply impressed, one seldom receives such a great level of service these days. Legendary indeed!
