I've purchased a used Solarman Wifi Logger to use on a Sunsynk 8k. When I try to add the Logger to my Plant on the Solarman Smart App it says something like " Logger already in use on another plant. Please refrain from adding multiple times" Any idea of how I can get it to work ?

Hi everyone, my Luxpower SNA5000 inverter is working normally, but the Wi-Fi dongle keeps saying in the monitoring APK that this dongle number is existing. (It came with the inverter box and is brand new.) I did a factory reset by following some posts, and the local connection is done, but it failed to go online. Please help me again.

I've seen on some users on this forum that are owners of Sunsynk/Deye inverters who create their own monitoring hardware, like a Rasberry Pi or similar, using the modbus connection directly to the inverter, and accessing the data via local IP. They match the register info and can create their own dashboard and control centre using it. Similar to Solar Assistant, but with more control. Has anyone here sucessfully managed to do this and be willing to share how? Jay

Hi all RPi fans with ICC, Is it possible to use the RPi to run the debian linus version of Watchpower on? If so, can one use the USB cable to communicate to the Inverter, or does one still need a USB to Serial converter, and then run both ICC & Watchpower at the same time? I would rather go this route then having a dedicated Windows machine to occasionally look at WatchPower. Your thoughts/suggestions

Our system went up today and fully functional. But we appear to be having some connectivity issues initially the WiFi module will not connect and I had to create a dedicated 2.4GHz wifi network then it connected. Even then we had to reset the dongle. Now finally after the installer left the it appears the units is offline completely and I assume it’s because the WiFi is not connecting. I have a few questions; first what is the radius others are getting ? I have a WiFi mesh network at home and my phone and most devices get full bars in the garage which is barely 5 meters from the primary router. What WiFi solutions are you using if your system is not installed in your m…

Hello, I'm very new to solar and home automation. I've got a SunSynk 8kw inverter, 1 SunSynk battery attached and a SunSynk wireless dongle. I want to set up a connection from the inverter to a Raspberry PI to run home assistant. I've done a lot of reading, but seem to be missing something. The RS485 Port on my SunSynk system appears to be Ethernet: I'm stuck on where i connet to the inverter to the Raspberry PI. I've found cables like these: https://amzn.eu/d/aXz53Cn which appear at least to have the right Ethernet connector. I'm failing to see how the cables/suggestions i see like this https://amzn.eu/d/ab1Nvkw would connect into the inverte…

I recently bought a Must 51.2V 100Ah battery (LP18-4100). It doesn't have an LCD screen, only 6 LEDs showing the SOC and my Axpert 3Kva doesn't have ports to connect to. The battery came with a cable that fits into RS485 and 232 ports on the battery. I have a spare windows tablet that I would like to use to see the battery data, but this only has USB ports. I assume one can get a RS485 to USB adapter, but I suppose I would need some type of software too. Anyone got a solution for me, I am rather dof about these things. Thanks

Hi Guys, I have a Luxpower SNA 5000 installed with a 4.8Kwh Dyness battery. I would like to connect a raspberrypi to the Luxpower so that I can use MQTT for some home automations. It would also be nice to know what the battery temperature is and maybe pull some extra data. The Luxpower app does not give this information. I've already contacted @SolarAssistant and @CenturionSolar.who both don't support the Luxpower. If anyone has done this or knows how to do this, I would greatly appreciate the help and advice. Or if i could be pointed in the right direction?

Solar Power Monitor Hi guys, I made simple Android application for checking actual/last information from PV inverters using power-datacenter.com server, where my PV inverter is sending actual values from my Photovoltaic system. I'd like to get help, advice and experience from using the app and suggestions for improvement. I made it primary for checking my values, but it may also be useful to you. It's only read only monitoring app and it shows only last/actual values. Long statistics are not available now, but I'd like also add these features. I'd like also make iOS version. Will be great if you try app and let me know if you find any bug or error or y…

Ive had a desire (Not the time) to get into home automation, read my batteries and communicate with my inverter, so started researching, and thanx to this forum found some answers and how to. So I pulled out my Link sprite, bought some Tuyo switches, a bit of zig bees, mixed in my 403 Mhz and 433 Mhz's, dusted off my arduino and looked for Raspberry Pi, No one had stock, and the ones that had 2nd hand were asking prices double the value. Everything went into a bag, and thrown into my sock drawer. New hobby..... I started looking for a 3d printer, and bang found raspberry Pi 4 back in stock at the PiShop.co.za. I await my delivery and ....... more time

Any having problems with the shine phone app for growatt . Can't at time enter the plant and every time you do and want to go check the plant you have to enter password incredibly frustrating . If you can inter the plant after entering password every time then you often get time out error when you want to refresh the page . I have uninstalled the app and installed again with same results . This seemed to have started after the last update . Is there an more reliable app for growatt inverters

Good morning guys Bear with me I am BBC but a quick study. I see that my Solarwise inverter has a comm port and the manual says WIFI and GPRS are available for IOS and Andriod. I followed the instructions which said to connect to a wifi router via the cable and then use an app to connect to the inverter. I can find no Solrwise/Solarwyze specific app and have tried a few generic ones but am too stupid to figure it all out. Is there any one willing to assist an old fart out through this minefield. I hope so, thanks in advance.

Hi Guys I am looking for something along the lines of the ICC APM software that can control Sonoff devices based on what's specified events on a Sunsynk Inverter. My understanding is that the ICC software is not compatible with the Sunsynk inverters Specifically I would like to disconnect some items from drawing power when the Inverter detects load shedding. It is unfortunately not possible to add them onto the non-essential loads. If there are any other suggestions as to how I could accomplish this I am open to suggestions. Thanks JohnB

Hi everyone - thanks for the great insights on this forum. 👌 I'm searching for an ethernet/LAN dongle/logger for my 8KW Sunsynk inverter and I'm wondering if there's anyone who knows where I can get one? My understanding is that Sunsynk make a combined ethernet/wifi dongle that you buy separately.🤔

The 12kw Deye inverter shows production and thr app shows the days production which corresponds with the inverter but the app historical data since 28th April 23 no longer shows. No changes was made

Good day all. I would like to share with you all my ideas and current progress on my project to create a cost effective and solid solution for battery monitoring and more. I have been focusing mostly on core functionality and will be adding features as I progress. The main drive of the project is to be able to monitor batteries that have CAN or RS485 or monitor batteries via inverters that have RS485. Other than providing metrics to the end user by tracking total energy in and out of the battery during charge and discharge cycles we could add functionality to activate "dry contact" relays on the unit to perform actions in the real world when conditions are met. eg at a ce…

Hi All Hope someone could help me in my confusion to connect a Raspberry pi 3b+ to my inverters I have 3 x 3phase 12kw deye inverters connected in parallel. Rj45 cables come from the bms port of each inverter to a rs485/can hub and then to my master battery. So my question, how to connect the raspberry pi? Inverter model number : sun-12k-sg04lp3
