Hi there, Just want some assistance regarding my luxpowertek 5k inverter. For some reason, my batteries (x2 CFE 5.1kwh) are constantly sending a small amount of power to the inverter. Approximately 30w. (Most likely to power the inverter). Also, when connected to grid power, my batteries always drain by 10% down to 90%. There after the inverter kicks in and charges them back up to 100%. I'd rather not have the batteries sending power to the inverter and draining down to 90% every day, having to be charged up. Ideally, I want to the battery always at 100%. I think the issue is the "ongrid EOD %" - Which is basically the discharge percent wh…

Hi, i have the following problem, my inverter shows only error 32 for few seconds, and the Display get into dark mode. Before i got this error i had flash the inverter firmware " Axpert max 8kW main firmware version 90.06.7z" from the power forum. also i flashed the display with "Axpert Max removable display firmware version 12.21.rar". With version 90.06 I had the problem that the PV power was limited. That's why I had Iry to downgrade with the file "Axpert MAX 91.04 Main Firmware with Old Flasher.zip" . Since the restart the inverter only shows Error Code 32. I did a display downgrade to "Removable display firmware version 12.11 for Axpert Max 7.2kW and 8kW.…

Hello Watchpower does not work with my inverter. When I connect the inverter to the PC (Win10) via Micro USP, it does not appear as a COM port but is recognised as a USB input device. But Watchpower expects a COM port. Is there a special driver or how else does it work? LG Michael

I was wondering if the Guru's might have an answer on this one for me, tried searching the forum but can't find my problem. I am using the ICC provided by Manie, currently running his latest version 2.99995, to control the inverters. However whenever I change the Inverter mode, Utility, SBU and SUB, it will always revert back to some arbitrary setting. i.e I can change it to SUB now, and give it about 30 minutes it will change back to SBU I change it to Utility because the weather looks inclement and I would like to make sure my batteries are fully charged and a few minutes later it kicks back to SBU and drains the batteries. …

So I made a booboo and reversed the polarity on the MPPT PV input, the DC breaker melted instantly and released a bunch of smoke and it took me a while to unplug a MC4 in the chaos. The 20A fuses are all fine by the looks of it and didn't blow so the 63A Breaker doesn't inspire much confidence. I even checked everything with the multimeter before plugging in to make sure voltages are what they should be etc but alas. The manual talks about the battery not having reverse polarity protection but what about the MPPT? I dont want to do more damage so interested if someone knows? I measured the resistance on the MPPT's one being +-0.7M Ohm and two +- 1.4M Ohm but I am not…

On EASun FTP hosted by Voltronic, I just found 2 new files. I can't open one (firmware 74.03 with SN password protected) but the second one seem to be a new version of remote panel firmware but I don't know concerned models. Can someone investigate ? Remote Panel_Reflash_MCU(38.06).rar

My 3KVA Inverter is tripping my battery breaker and not working at all. It makes a buzzing sound. I sent it in for quote but unfortunately this company I sent it too, only replaces and does not repair. Where could I have this repaired in Durban. Not for the first time recently, my system shut down and then restarted around midday. Since the last time I have reported this, I have changed the heat pump settings so that it starts just before 12:00, and so (in theory) should not start up when COJ start load shedding. So today's clues are 1) load shedding had started at 10:00 2) heat pump set to start just before 12:00 3) system trips just before 12:00 4) load shedding ended very soon after 12:00, possibly just before. 5) no other big loads running. I was going to get into wonderings about the heat pump and the pool kicking in at the same time, but the pool isn't on the backed up side of the D…

I have a 4000 W inverter that powers the house mains during load shedding. Runs a few appliances and lights and internet no problem. However I also have an Eaton UPS that is meant to keep a desk top PS running and it is fine when the power goes down, it keeps running the PC from battery. However, when I have switched over to inverter power the UPS keeps beeping and stays on battery - for some reason it does not recognise the inverter power even though the fridge, routers and lights are happily running. Any ideas why this is happening? Many thanks for any insights...

My inverter has suddenly started switching the AC output on and off normally when the batteries are fully loaded. The load is not high - sometimes about 4.5Kw. I do have 2 x Hubble AM-2 batteries and a Narade 4.8 battery connected together. The inverter temperature shows about 74degree C. Could this be the problem and if so how does one solve this? I made sure the battery load amps are set to 150A. (At 4500W load it is about 90A on battery side) Any suggestions? Francois

Hi everyone Hope someone can assist me with this issue. My installer is not sure also and nobody has replied on the Sunsynk forum. When looking at the flow chart I noticed the non-essential load is displaying a weird value of -65492W when there is no essential load (sometimes it flashes to 0w for a split second). If I add a non essential load of approx 4kw the value changes to -61000W. Fortunately this is not impacting anything and everything is working correctly and the system is not drawing more than should from the grid. Sometimes everything shows perfectly and it changes randomly from correct usage…

I posted this in the newcomers section with no answers, so let me try here🙂 Hi *, I did the jump to solar and the system was installed 5 days ago. After reading a lot of posts on this forum, I've got so many questions but I think first my setup deye 5kw shoto 5.12kw panels 4.1kw will upgrade next year The thing that confuses me the most is the essential and non essential wiring, I've got my 2 X geyser(3kw kwitot with geyserwise) and stove on non essential with the rest on essential. The geyser is set to run at 11am to 12 and the other from 13 to 14:00. I can see on the deye that when the microwave is used it consumes from the panels, with on…

Hello, have someno Smr II 5.5kw (revo VII 5.5kw) inverter? I try to find new firmware or manual, because in my manual its setting just from 1 to 14 ,but in inverter is from 1-18,and also in manual is nothing about dry contact how to set it. Also is wrong total power in KWh showing, low voltage alarm is not on voltage that i set,but 1 voltage above shutdown voltage, and so ...some small things. Also in wachpower i cant change any setting 😕

Hi, I have 2 Sunsynk inverters connected in parallel (1 master & 1 slave). Since I am using all of the MPPTs, is it possible to connect microinverters to the AUX port (to add more solar panels or to optimize my existing arrays due to shading) with 2 inverters in parallel, or does the same count as for generators, where you cannot connect it if there are parallel inverters? Also, can microinverters be connected in parallel at the AUX port of a Sunsynk inverters, since most of them are only 600 or 1200W, and the AUX input is capable of handling up to 5000W? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, I would really appreciate it if someone can provide me with the following: Latest firmware for SPF 5000 ES Latest firmware for the MPPT Latest firmware for the data logger Latest version of the ISP Tool Documentation for the above I would also like to know your opinion about the current setup and its configuration that I have although I have confidence in the person who installed but I would like to double check if the settings are good enough to keep my batteries efficient and durable. The setup is as per the following them as per the following: 2x SPF 5000 ES running in parallel (firmware: one i…

I installed a 5000V Axpert Inverter. It recognises the batteries but the solar panels are not being recognised hence the batteries are not being charged by solar. Got a solution for the Setting Code H5 from this forum.

Hi all, I am curious to know what efficiency everyone is getting out of their SS inverters. Sunsynk advertise a max 97% efficiency however, I dont believe my machine achieves close to this. As I understand it, the efficiency is calculated as Pac/Pdc. I have the 5kw model which gets quite hot in my garage and I wonder if the temperature has such a material effect on the efficiency which I calculate to be on average around 88%. I could really find any info online on what average efficiencies are achieved so thought I would start a thread and get your real world experiences.

Could someone please help, I am used to the logic of other axpert inverters like Synapse and Growatt, but I am a bit slow in understanding the settings as explained in the Sunsynk manual. I have a sunsynk 5kw inverter with 5350w panels on the roof and one Hubble X101 battery. The system works great and the comms between batt and inverter is working, but I don't know how to set it up to do the following: 1. The battery must only be used during load shedding, but we don't ever have LS so the battery is there only in case something goes wrong with the utility supply. 2. The solar must only charge the battery for a half hour or so to top it up if necessary, maybe 11…

I have raised this question before but probably without sufficient detail. I have a 3Kw Smart Inverter installed in my camper van which is approx 12 months old since being kitted as a van. It appears that the batteries are no longer being charged by the solar panels. I have a MPPT solar regulator which indicates that power is coming from the panels however I appear to have lost something from the LCD display on the inverter. The symbols in the bottom left hand corner that represent the solar panels and MPPT (see attachment) are no longer displayed on my screen. I have looked at the wiring and it appears intact, I have also checked the fuses and all are in order. I a…

Hi All I have a 3kw Axpert inverter, at this stage not tied in, just plugged into a wall socket. I bought a Ellies fridge save unit (in an attempt to protect the inverter from dodgy electricity from Eskom). I did however notice that Ellies warns not to exceed 5Amps. Is this device worth anything, or am I better of with a normal Ellies surge protector? Cheers, Christiaan

With the undesirable combination of load shedding and overcast weather. I have several times recently, used ECO mode to ensure a full battery. I have a default rule set up to charge from grid from 15:00 to 16:00, but sometimes I want to top up EG if the load shed is early in the morning - my batteries SOC, under usual conditions, will be at it's lowest about 7:15. So if the weather's not so lekker in the early morning, I get twitchy. The thing is, I can't see any pattern to how eco mode works. Clearly I have misunderstood it. This is a problem because now I am having to go back to the office, I have to teach my wife to use it pre-emptively when the double whammy of b…

Hi all, I have 2x Growatt SPF5000ES inverters in parallel with 2x LBSA 5.1KW LiFEPO batteries. (Dumb set up as my inverter / battery combo does not support the CAN to BMS hookup) I have to regularly change modes from SUB to UTIL when we have loadshedding in order to ensure that my batteries are always full as when it gets later in the afternoon and PV generation is very low (Not enough to charge the batteries), it will not use Utility to charge up the batteries to float. It seems that although my setting is set to SUB (Solar, Utility and then battery) it ignores using Utility to charge the batteries as long as there is some PV (even if it is only like 5W). So w…
