Wondering if anyone can help with an odd BMS Issue with the combination of the below equipment combination. I have a Sofar 6000ES with 4x Sentry / Vision 200AH Gel batteries. According to the manufacturer of the batteries, the charge voltage and full charge voltage needs to be 58.8v (or 14.7v per battery) and the overvoltage protection needs to be set to 59.2V - My batteries start charging each morning but around midday the inverter goes into a continuous "trip" where I get an error ID12 bit3, battery over current protection. I have gone through all possibilities, we have replaced cables with thicker ones, installed an DC arrestor with more than enough amperage, had it double checked, cables are perfect, and the Sofar support technician has no further "help". Hi All, I recently (Sunday) installed a Deye 5 kW inverter with a Shoto 5.1 kWh battery. I'm monitoring the system on Home Assistant via the SolarMan API. I've seen a weird occurrence on the battery state of charge. It looks like from time to time the charge drops to 0% for about a minute and a half and then recovers. It has been happening more and more (once a day to now three times a day) When this happens the power drawn by the inverter also spikes to about 5.5 kW. Not sure if this is maybe a BMS issue?

Hello.. Im looking at installing a 5kw deye and 2 x 5.1Shoto with 14 455w panels. How is the quality and reliability of the Shoto batteries and any issues with paring it with Deye? What about backup service of the Shoto batteries if there are any issues?

So I have some odds and ends lying around from an old setup put together for charging AA, AAA batteries and walkie-talkies in the bush. Never got around to using it. Anyway, I want to use it now for the same including a laptop but just at home. So for a small setup like that would you choose a BlueNova or Freedom Won Lifepo4 battery? Also, the BlueNova is 13V, would that make a difference when connecting a NiteCore D4 battery charger to the Load connector of the Charge Controller Go easy on me, I'm new to this.

Hi I have a Meccer Max II 8Kw inverter and 2 Shoto 5.12 batteries. I cannot get the bms to talk. I keep getting error 61. Main battery is dip switch 5 on and second battery is dip switch 1 on. The cable is pin 4 and 5 battery side and pin 6 and 7 inverter side. Please help.

Can you use a buck boost controller to charge a second battery in a vehicle? You can set the input battery voltage to draw a little power from the main battery or to just operate when alternator is on and voltage high. Output voltage set to second battery 100% value (13.0V for AGM) Output current can be set to say 10A drawing less load from the alternator and on the wiring (smaller wiring) Not to replace a proper dual battery system but an secondary charging system while driving and while camping the main system will be a solar system.

Hi, I have 2 Hubble S120 batteries running my series on my 24v system. I have reached out to Hubble twice to get charge settings for the batteries and they keep just giving me the 12v charge settings: 14.4 Bulk 14 Float 11.2 Cut off Would I simply just double all those values for the settings to run in 24v? Then I have also asked them what currently I can charge the batteries at but they keep not answering that question. Does anyone know the charge settings for 24v for these batteries and what current I can safely charge at?

How do I go about connecting a 48V HA02 Battery Balancer to my Solar Gel Batteries? I did find a thread about it earlier, but I can't decipher the pretty pictures - I need a step by step if anyone is willing to do that for me. I have 2 banks of 4 x 12v 200AH in series, then connected in parallel. Do I just connect the balancer to the one string (red to positive and black to negative) and it will balance all 8 batteries, or do I need a second Balancer for the second string? I'm quite useless when it comes to this stuff...... Thanks in advance for the help!

My Victron MPPT 150/60 solar charge controller is fluctuation wildly. It seems to go from producing very little power to almost max power constantly. My system is a Multiplus II 3000 with 9 X CS 365W panels and the MPPT and Venus controller. I recently dumped 4 X 100amp lead acid batteries in favour of two RITAR 4.8KWH Lion batteries. Although the RITAR batteries have BMS, when I plug a cable into the inverter, it does not like it. I have sent mails to both the supplier and the battery manufacturer to resolve the BMS issue with no success. Any ideas?

Hi all, Me again with a seemingly weird problem. I have the following setup: 2 x Alpha Ess 10.1kw + Sunsynk 8.8kw According to the inverter the batteries are at 100% (The battery led display says otherwise) Am I missing a setting somewhere ? It would take load when loadshedding and sometimes just drop all power.

I'm considering switching from gel batteries to Tubular FLA batteries but the batteries are indoors. They will be connected with Voltronic Infini inverter so chances of overcharging are slim but will they definitely emit some hydrogen fumes while charging. I'm mainly interested in virtually eliminating hydrogen gas fumes and if they last 3-4 years that's good enough for me. Since by then I'll probably switch to lithium batteries.

Was planning on going with pylons and dump current gel batteries for my 10KW Infini hybrid inverter. Surprised to see that even UP5000 only supports 50A continuous discharge current. Basically, I need 4x UP5000s to support 10KW inverter and this setup will be prohibitively expensive. Are there any other brands that support higher discharge current and will last at least 5 years? I'm from Pakistan we have Ritar lithium batteries available at similar price but higher continuous discharge current, but no one seems to be using those here.

I recently added a Pylontech US3000C to my existing battery bank of 8 Pylontech US3000B Batteries. It is my understanding (confirmed by supplier) that they can all work together in a stack of up to 16 batteries as long as the US3000C is the master. In the process, I initially did not have the right length cables to connect all 9 batteries, so I simply replaced the original US3000B master with the new US3000C thus ending up with the 8 batteries and US3000C as master. I've got two Hubble AM-2's and I recently got a cloudlink to monitor them. I should really do a separate review on that sometime, but much to my surprise my SOH was on 76% 😢 My system was installed in July 2021 so my batteries are roughly 10 months old.
