Where does one get the access software to Pylontech batteries ? It looks like this software locked behind the great Firewall. Seems like copies have escaped , however I can't findit yet ? See Batteryview.exe here

  2. Hi everyone, I have acquired a Goodwe ES 4.6 kW Hybrid inverter and to avoid an expensive mistake, I would like advice from the forum experts on which battery is best for the system? I have been looking at the Pylontech 4.8kW UP 5000 Lithium Ion battery, but I am aware there are other types of lithium batteries namely the lithium iron phosphate battery and would be grateful for advice on the difference and suitability for my inverter? Thank you

  3. Hey guys! I have some Second Life telecom Lithium Batteries "Powercube 1000 ESM-B02" from Huawei. They run with 48V and have 100Ah. I want to connect those with our GroWatt Inverter, but haven't success so far. 1. I tried to connect the batteries' BMS with the Inverter via a RJ45-cable, but they would not comunicate, but it doesn't seemed to be supported. 2. My seccond attemp was to connect the batteries like "generic" ones without data cable comunication. So I would start the batterie by connecting its PWR-Port directly to + and - pol of the battery by opening the batteries case. The batterie would boo…

Lets say you have an 8Kw Sunsynk inverter and are looking for 10Kw of battery backup. Which is better 1 x 10Kw battery or 2 x 5Kw batteries. Does this still hold true for say 15Kw (1x 15 or 3 x 5) and 4 x 5 for 20 or 2 x 10 or 1 x 20. Just trying to see which is better. My thinking is more batteries more cables which are not cheap, but on the other hand, if 1 battery gives issues you don't lose your entire battery backup.

What does battery cycles mean? If you run a battery down to 30% during the night, then the pv charges it back to 100% I assume it wil count as 1 cycle? But lets say it is overcast in the early afternoon and I decide to mow the lawn and my battery soc goes down to 90% but then before sunset the pv charges the battery back to 100%. Does that mean my battery had 2 cycles for the day? TIA

Growatt SPH3600 with GBLI 6532 (6KWhbattery) and 12 panels. installed this week - installer being ridiculously slow at responding to my request for support. Settings on inverter do not allow charging battery from grid , yet every night the battery is being charged. The effect being that when solar is generated it’s going back to the grid (for free currently) as battery is already charged!! is this familiar to anyone? Any ideas of help much appreciated. mike

  9. Hi I hope someone clever on this forum can help me. Would the new Shoto 5.12kwh (that is equipped with “general” communication) be able to be installed in between an axpert inverter and the old Shoto 2.4kwh to communicate with the older batteries, and with the inverter? Alternatively, does anyone know if there is a place where I can buy the comms cable to have my Axpert inverter communicate with my 4 Shoto 2.4kwh’s? thanks

Hey, Hope everybody is keeping safe during the current Covid-19 crisis! Does anybody have any experience of running a mix of different Pylontech batteries? I've got a Sofar Solar ME3000SP connected to SIX Pylontech US2000 batteries as follows: 2 x US2000B from 07/02/2017 2 x US2000 Plus from 28/02/2018 2 x US2000 from 04/06/2019 They are connected to the ME3000SP via RS485 and one of the latest manufactured US2000 is the master. The ME3000SP is supposed to automatically configure itself to the Pylontechs and it sets the following: Battery Capacity: 200Ah Discharge Depth: 80% Over Voltage Protection: 54.0V Max Charge…

I have had a Synapse inverter for the last 5 years being used off grid. In May last year, the batteries were replaced because the old gel batteries were no longer charging correctly. With the old batteries connected, the system would normally shut down during the night because of low voltage and then start up again in the morning as soon as the sun hit the panels. Since the new batteries (Hoselect 200Ah) were installed, if the system shuts down due to low voltage, it battles to start again. The 3 LEDs flash on and off continuously for hours before eventually starting. I spoke to a technician a few months ago who said it may have something to do with the col…

  13. I placed an order for a Bluenova 26v-154-4k battery after checking with the manufacturer that it is compatible with my Axpert 24v 3kva inverter. I did a search on the forum and found the settings for the 48v Axpert, thanks @egemnaar Has anyone got the settings for the bluenova battery for a 24v Axpert inverter? Attached pics of the inverter model and firmware. @James Verster I see that you are involved with Bluenova (on the promo videos) are you able to assist? Secondly, I will need to get rid of my AGM batteries when the bluenova battery arrives, does anyone want my 2 buggered Omnipower 12v 260aH batteries, not sure if they would be on any use t…

Installed a Daly BMS for 24 v battery. The batteries are charging to the correct voltage. Balancing is ok. The only problem is that the SOC always report 100% on the BMS even if the cells read 3.1 volt. There was no manual with the BMS. How do I correct the SOC. Ah rating is set correct and charging at 3.4 volt. Any help will be appreciated.

I bought myself solar assistant so I can monitor my installation instead of walking to the inverter everytime. I noticed that the two packs dont seem to "work together". I've attached a screenshot and would like to know whether this is normal (ie 1 providing power while the other does nothing)? Or am I just paranoid?

  19. Started by double,

Hi all, I currently have a 5kW Deye inverter with 5.4kW of panels, and a single Pylontech US2000 battery. The obvious shortcoming with this system is the size of my battery. The plan has always been to upgrade the battery as funds become available. So my question is, is there a better option than buying three more US2000 batteries? Total cost would be around R35k which would give me 2.4*4=9.6*80%=7.68kWh capacity, which is perfect for my needs. This would also allow me to draw 5kW, which is the max of my inverter. If I get more Pyltontechs, I also don't have to sell the one I already have. Does anyone have any other suggestions, which may perform better or cost …

  22. Hi guys, I have noticed my UP5000 has not switched to utility at 16% DAD wanting to not shorten its life I have then to utility switched automatically. How can this process be set automatically, help will really be appreciated.

  23. Morning All, So, installed a solar-inverter-battery system when the last round of loadshedding hit. But as with Murphy's Law, no loadshedding since then. I have not yet set up the inverter to use battery power at night and then to recharge from solar during the day as I feel I need the battery backup in case the grid goes down (I tend to err on the side of caution mostly). I ask the question then that should I be "exercising" my battery in order to ensure it performs as it is intended? If that is the case, then I will manually, from time to time, run the system off battery power. Thanks.

Hey Guys Hope you all doing well. Hopefully someone can help me out with a question i have about my new batteries. I have 3 UP5000 batteries connected to a Kodak MKSIII. iv left the setting on the inverter as Pylontech batteries so the BMS is controlling all the figures. Was a little skeptical to play with any settings as the batteries are a little pricey. Now the bulk and float charge is set to 53.2 back to discharge at 54. It seems like the batteries always charge up to 50.5 then they show full. It has never gone up to 53.2. The available amp hours also show as 298 and should be 300 at full. I know its just a small amount just wondering if the setting are al…

  25. Hi. I've been running 3x US3000 with an RCT Axpert 5KVA VMIII for a while now. I decided to add an extra battery and received the US3000C. I've made the US3000C the master (I was told that I have to) then set dip switch 1 to on on the master and all other dip switches on the slaves to 0. When plugging in the original comms cable I started getting the error 61 (no comms) error on the inverter. After some digging here I found that the cable pinouts have been changed. Using the pinouts found in a doc on another thread (pin7 -> pin5) and (pin 8 -> pin3) the error 61 stopped, but now i getting error 04 (low battery). Seems like the inverter c…
