Good day All, Need some advice please. Which battery option, Freedom Won 8/10 "OR" 2X HUBBLE AM-2 48V 5.5KW LITHIUM BATTERY would be better suited to match a Sunsynk 8KW Inverter?? System Integration, Product quality, Aftersales support would be crucial in purchase decision. Thanks in advance! K

I have a quick question that may sound a bit silly, but it has had me a puzzled for a while now. My batteries arrived this morning (3x Dyness modules): Now looking at the wiring diagram in the manual it seems quite straightforward to wire these in parallel: just connect all the + terminals together on one side, and - terminals on the other. But when I look at other common lithium battery models, for example the Pylontech, I see it has 4 power terminals (2x + and 2x -): So my question, for those who can enlighten me, is why do some batteries have 4 terminals? These seem to have something to do with their parallel configuration,…

Hi guys, I've got a bank of 8 x 6v Trojan T105-RE batteries connected to my Victron 48/3000 Multiplus with 2000W Solar and 150/70 Smartsolar MPPT. I'm thinking of replacing the Trojans with Lithium but have no idea where to start looking. I'm looking in the direction of a 9.6Kwh/10.5Kwh battery which is going to cost me about R50k, Do any of you have experience with a specific battery that's worth spending R50k on or maybe any other suggestions? I will hopefully soon have a 48v Trojan T105-RE bank and BMV-702 for sale.

Quick question ... Must batteries in a solar system be identical? Or is it good enough to have the same type and capacity? Why I'm asking ... If I install a Shoto 5.12kWh battery today and want to add another a year or two from now, the charge and discharge characteristics will be similar rather than identical to a battery that's done 1000 cycles. Or not?

I have installed Omnipower batteries at various sites, some are on hybrid inverters , some are on Victron Multis etc. These batteries are failing for no reason. Setting are 100% and charge current not too low or too high. I have had these batteries failing in groups of 4, groups of 8 and even on 24V systems. They seem to work fine for about 2 years under very low discharge rates and then suddenly they wont take a charge and start to drop voltage to 9V ( then they are finished ) I install SonX AGMs alot at the same sites and have had no problems at all, in fact some of my sonX's are on their 7th year and still operating reasonably Is anyone having these same prob…

Hi i bought 2 battery Pylontech US2000 and I have the following problem: Master battery is connected the BMS from the Hybrid Solar Inverter HSI5500. I connected a serial to the battery. So far it has worked ok, but when reading the battery information the error appeared: Base State: SysError I do the readings on the series and I receive as follows: data 1 @ Item Index: 1140 Time: 21-11-03 08:49:40 Voltage: 47140 mV Current: 0 mA Temperature: 20000 mC Percent: 6% Total Coulomb: 50000 mAH Max Voltage: 54000 mV Base State: SysError Volt. State: Normal Curr. State: Normal Temp. Stat…

I had the solar assistant app open and noticed strange events happening ... this is why it is such a good idea to have remote monitoring on your inverter. Went to site found lead batteries gassing ... pulled the fuses and replaced the batteries. Fact: A 105 amp/hr deep cycle battery dont last more than 31/2 years ... the batteries are not cycled everyday ... only when there are power cuts ( which we have been experiencing a lot lately) Lucky we caught this lot as they started gassing. I have been watching the backup time reduce over the past few months. Setup (no solar): 230VAC 5 amps (AVG) 1200 watts (AVG) DC side: 8 x 10…

Hi all So what is everyones opinion on mixing up different types of batteries of the same ah . for example I have 2 x 100ah AGM batteries but have acquired 2 x 100ah lead calcium batteries. What is the impact of using the 2 different types ? discharge is set to only 50% I guess the next question is what is the shelf life of a lead calcium battery? These 2 batteries have been unused for about 2 years. I wonder if that has killed them somewhat..

Hi there, I bought a RCT 2000VA last year around August 2020. It had lasted about 4.5 hours out of the box for the first 2-3 months however this window has lessend to about 20mins somedays and 15mins other. I only have my router and ONT plugged into it. I suspect it needs a new battery but I dont know where to start and would appreciate the advice please. I need to know what battery and where to find a good one. I hate being wasteful so dont want to just buy a new one. Appreciate your time. Specs of the UPS unit below: RCT Line Interactive UPS - 2000 VA / 1200 W Features: - Fast charging in 4 hours - Built-in excellent microprocessor co…

Hi. Hope you all well. New here, so please be gentle I currently have a 24v Synapse 2.4KW inverter, connected to essential supplies for backups only during loadshedding. Currently have it hooked up to 2 x 12v 100ah deep cycle lead acid batteries in series (I know this is old school). These batteries are about 2 months old, and have been working fine) I have been looking at replacing batteries to 1 x Hubble AM4 (24V Lithium) and I have been wondering how this will affect my runtime and if I can add to the essential loads if I change to a Lithium Battery. Except for the additional 40% runtime, and the life expectancy boost of lithium batteries (L…

Hi I Have 4xVision 6fm100z-x batteries at 48V and seem to be having issue supplying load to an axpert 5k 5kva/400ow. The batteries are roughly 2.5 years old The batteries seem to be charging up quick quickly and when a load is applied drops quickly too. below attached you can see from the esphome sensor the battery percent and the load percent I did have a issue were the inverter had somehow reverted settings. So they float charge value was at 54V and thought they may have been under charging. I have temporarily changed the float value to 57, to see if it improves over a few days and change it back. Unfortunately i also had to lower my cutoff voltage to 4…

Good day. Is it possible to connect the pylontech 2.4 kw lithium battery to the 4kw axpert clone inverter? The reason for me asking is that I want to replace my 4*100ah gel batteries. Max draw from the inverter will be 1.2kw, but only when sun is shining and the aircon is running (4*400w solar panels.) Other times power consumption is about 500w but this can be lowered to 300w during load shedding, and even to 120w in an emergency. I phoned a local battery supplier and he told me that this will not be possible, as I have a 4kw inverter and the battery will be 2.4kw. He tells me that I need at least 2*2.4kw pylontechs. Also, he t…

Hello everyone! So at home we have a 8kw system (Deye inverter) with 10.4kw worth of panels.... We are currently on a solar/prepaid mix, and we go through round about R600 prepaid p/m. Currently I work a US based schedule so I need about 1kw p/h to be able to run my work system, anywhere from 4-6 hours per night. The solar is great during the day but unfortunately with loadshedding at night, its time for us to add batteries to our setup. Any recommendations, referrals and pricing will be greatly appreciated! Thank you 🤓

Hi All. I sold my inverter to my family member and they got a Pylontech 5000. Does anyone have the right settings for the King 5 KVa Inverter? Also, Does the comm cable work between the battery and Inverter? I have spoken to a source and he told me, to update my firmware on the invertert in order to read the battery.

Hi all, What sort of tests would one do when buying used/ secondhand lithium battery other than measuring the voltage? Most lithium batteries have smart parameters, so believe it will be possible to read the number of cycles and SOC status? Some people have issues handing out original invoices because they claim it contains their personal details, but I find it strange because you will already know their first names, probably last names via TrueCaller if you have their number, and invoices rarely have customer address; so that claim doesn't hold water. I would personally ask for the original invoice if the battery is new/ or few months old just to satisfy myself tha…
