  1. I would like to know the correct voltage settings on the Axpert inverter for float and absorb charging. Also how long is it suppose to stay in absorb mode or what is the recommended setting I have 8 x 260a/h SonX AGM batteries Currently set to 55.2 volt float and 57.6 volt absorb My absorb charge is set to 240 minutes Thanks

  2. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone can explain this to me please. My inverter is running in SUB priority, with about 50% of the output supplied by solar power and the rest by utility power. On the inverter it shows that the battery is 100%, but that there is a battery discharge current of 4A (see screenshot from Watchpower app), while on the display of the battery itself it shows 0A. The battery would normally show -4A if it was discharging at 4amps. If I switch of the solar power the battery discharge current indicator on the inverter immediately goes to 0A. Any ideas what is going on here? Thank you Chris

    I had an interesting issue today, and hoping someone might be able to shed some insight. I noticed that my solar system wasn't sending any power to my batteries, which were sitting on 54% SOC, according to my Sunsynk inverter. When I checked the batteries' individual SOC, the master, a US2000C, was on 99% SOC, and the second battery, a US2000B, was on 10% SOC. I then did a physical check of the batteries, and noticed the master had a red error light on. I switched them both off, as well as the inverter, waited 2 minutes, and switched everything back on.   4. Good Day I have gone through all the questions and answers but cannot get to a solution on my unit. I have a Older RCT 5Kw unit(2014) I have now installed a synapses(Pylontech) 3.55kW Battery. The issue I am having is that in the evening the unit does not run on the battery till the back to grid voltage is reached. Directly there is no more solar, it goes over to mains instead of running on battery first. My unit is set to SBU.   5. I have a SMA Sunny Island 5048 system with lead acid batteries but am upgrading to Pylontech batteries. Has any one managed to get the batteries to communicate to this old type inverter? I know it will work without communication but would like a link if possible.

    Hi Everyone, Maybe someone has some insight on this issue. I have 2x US3000c Batteries on a Growatt 5000TL inverter using BMS. But the SOC falls out of sync between the two batteries while draining/charging. Seen it go as high as 12% difference. However the voltages are near identical. When the one hits 95%+, it slows the charging on the higher SOC battery and it just hangs till they both rapidly "Jump" to 100%. I'm on firmware 2.1, and one is month old than the other (Due to getting a faulty one replaced). I was hoping they would fall into sync with each other over time, but it's been a few weeks now. Anyone have any ideas or have a similar issue?

  7. Morning We have been without grid power the last 2 days. This morning I woke to my sunsynk 8.8kw inverter sounding an alarm f56 DC voltlow fault. My state of charge is 19%. Will this error clear itself once the system charges the battery enough? Or do I need to manually clear the fault. Also if I am getting this error is there a battery configuration that I must change to avoid it discharging to this extent? I have 2 pylontech Us3000 batteries.

    Hey all So I have 3 x TheSunPays 4.8kw LiFePO4 batteries. 2 of them were purchased in February 2020, the 3rd was purchased about 2 months ago. I am having a problem of uneven discharge, the new battery discharges faster and ends on 17% SOC while the other 2 will end at 40% SOC. The voltages across all 3 are the same (including cells). I contacted TheSunPays and they say the new battery will discharge faster due to the lower internal resistance because its newer, which makes perfect sense. Is there anyway around this to get the batteries to discharge at a similar rate as we are loosing about 22A of capacity due to this and the new battery would in t…

  11. Howdy all, so the system I’m putting will have some decent battery backup, should get us to around 3am on most nights considering our normal load. However this leaves us in the dwang if Eskom decides to pull a 4-8am load shedding drill on us. are there ways to proactively manage this? Or should I always ensure I have enough in the “tank” for a load shedding episode at any time?

    Hi All. I recently completed a 7,2kW Kodak installation, with a 5X Pylontech US3000C battery backup. Batteries are connected in parallel using Pylontech lead out cables, to a common busbar, and from there to the battery fuse and then inverter with a common cable. I am however having issues with the master battery, that keeps tripping on an over voltage protection fault( other batteries continue functioning normally). Have updated firmware to V1.9 on all batteries and yet problem persists. Sent battery back to supplier, they tested it and it according to them, is not faulty.     I'm about to upgrade my old batteries to a PylonTech US3000C. I have a RCT-Axpert 5K inverter(I have attached the label for the inverter). Would appreciate if someone could help with the following: I assume I must upgrade the firmware, is the dsp_LF1_74.40e pf1 the correct one? Do I have to install the communication cable between the battery and inverter. Other than for monitoring, do I need the icc software? Which Amp dc fuse is recommended between the battery and inverter?

    Hi everyone, I bought a growatt inverter spf 5000 es, and 3 x 3.3kw c1 lithium ion batteries, the battery connection cables have terminal plugs on 1 x side and plug type on the other side, which plugs in to the battery, can any body please help with the connection from battery to fuse box and inverter, any help will be very welcome. I am in Botswana and difficult to get certain parts here.

  16. My off-grid system is made up of 3750W of PV panels, a MicroCare 100A charge controller, a 5kW MicroCare inverter and 12 165Ah Narada lead carbon batteries. After 6 years, the batteries are nearing their end. I'd like to replace them a lithium battery. A FreedomWon 10/8 seems to be a good choice. My research about the road forward has brought some confusing information. MicroCare says the charge controller and inverter need to be sent in for upgrades - they'll be out of service for 2 weeks (MC wants them for 5 days).   17. Hi, Please advise on the Hubble Battery Settings on Sunsynk? Battery Type Screen - Battery capacity, charge amps, discharge amps? Battery Charge Screen - Amps, Float V, Absorption V, Equalization V? Or are this ignored and controlled by the BMS. How does one equalise the batteries or does this also happen automatically?

    Hi, About two years ago I bought a 12V 160W Ecoboxx battery system that can be charged from a solar panel or an AC 'switching power supply'. I use it to power my router and some DC lights (supplied with the Ecoboxx) during load shedding. The AC charger has stopped working and I would like to replace it, however I'm having trouble matching the specifications on the charger to actual products that I can find online. The charger output is printed as 16V, 2A on its sticker (see attached images). I have not been able to find such a charger. 15V, 2A chargers seem to be pretty common though. Would such a charger work with my Ecoboxx? Thanks

  20. I have a new system installed where the on invertor is noisy and it draws a constant 450 watts from the DC Bus. I have been very careful doing everything right according to victrons guidelines. It might be a faulty invertor but just want to make sure. Has anyone had this before.

    Good day everyone. I have a newly commissioned system with Kodak VMIII and 2xUS3000 batteries. With the inverter setting 05 set to Pylontech I get error code 61, which according to the manual means no communication between the battery and inverter. For now I am using the user-defined option under setting 5, which works fine, but I presume I will need to get the communication thing sorted for optimum performance. My settings are as follows: - Dip switches both batteries 0000. I have a ESS setup and was using the system with lead acid batteries for months with no problems. I thought I would upgrade the battery to Lithium... now I have a charge problem with this battery. I have set all the settings as suggested using ve configure. Bulk/absorption 56.00V /1 hour, float 54v.   23. Hi guys Just a feedback on my problem. I have a couple of installations using a Shoto/Deye combination, and I was struggling with battery communication. A couple of guys responded and offered some advice. One of them advised that I use AGM voltage settings, and it worked! It turns out the old Shoto does not work well with BMS, and probably the manufacturer noticed this and that's why the installed an external MCB on top of the battery. The new shoto however has a CAM bus so it works perfectly. Thanks a lot guys.

    Good people Is this connection ok? It is connect the inverter negative to the BMS negative. They both have round crips. I've covered the connection with electrical tape. 12v LFP battery to Mecer IVR 1200mppt
