Just a word of warning if you going to use Trojan batteries make sure that you buy from an authorised dealer who will honour your warranty. Short and sweet.

Does VRM Portal show the battery temperature value if the sensor is connected to the Quattro instead of the BMV? From the available widgets it seems it's doesn't unless I am missing something. Does it still use the sensor value for charging even though I also have a BMV-700 in the system? Thanks, Ingo

I bought these battery balancers from Aliexpress. They cost about $19 each and you need one for each battery. The balancers can be linked together depending on the size of your battery bank. I am waiting for some battery cables to arrive and then I will connect the balancers and share some results. In the meantime, here are some pics and specs of the balancers.

Good day solar buffs. I have two series strings (4 x 12 volt each) connected in parallel on a Mecer 5000 / W PF 1 system. Victron's pamphlet regarding the connection of their battery balancers is a bit ambiguous. I have purchased 6 balancers for the two 48 volt strings. My question A: Do I need 6 balancers, as told by the tech expert where I purchased them, or only 3 balancers for the two strings in paralllel. Question B: Exactly how are the 6 balancers connected across the 2 banks of batteries? Specifically with respect to interconnections between the balancers and the battery banks. I hope you can help me.

Hi, I got a bunch of 100ah Long branded AGM batteries. I have connected them in series to a 48V Axpert 5K. I'm not sure if this is normal, but please see attached readings that I get from the batteries - is it normal for the batteries to be so different from each other. I've read a few posts on balancing and I actually bought two HA-02's from a forum member a while ago. I want to confirm the wiring before I add them to my battery bank. Below is a diagram from one of the posts that I modified to show my 48V battery bank with two sets of 48V ea. The suggestion in the diagram is to use one HA02. I have two of these so would wire them up one per string. Is that the preferred way? Lastly, my installer wired my batteries without busbars. The cables run from my inverter to +/- on one string and then tap off from there to string two. This is obviously sub-optimal. Where can I find something like below to fix this? Hi guys I'll appreciate your opinion on this. An e-bike uses a lithium-Ion battery. Let's assume a range of 100km/charge. My questions: If the bike does 30km/day, how will a good charging regime look? Should the battery be charged after every ride, or only after 2 rides? If the bike does a 50km ride on a certain day, and a 30km ride the next day, should the battery be charged after the 50km ride, or only after the 80km? My concern would be to optimize the life of the battery. Thanks for your inputs. Much appreciated.

I have 4 200Ah Narada MPG batteries connected with Infini Plus 10KW. In my area we get frequent blackouts (typically 3-4 hours per day, around 4 days a week). Couple of things I've noticed is when there isn't any blackout for a day or two, the batteries are still continuously charging (floating charging) at 2.1 amps and battery capacity is always at 99% (as per inverter). In the settings there is an option to stop charging after X hours if the amps is less than Y. I was thinking of setting it to 24 hours and 2.1 amps. Does that sound like a good idea?

I recently installed 8 x US-145-XC2 6Volt batteries. I am almost clueless when it comes to flooded batteries, so would appreciate some help on the following settings: Bulk Charge = 7.35 x 8 = 58.8v...so 58.4v bulk as this is the highest my Axpert can go? Would it be possible to use 2 x 12v battery chargers ( Cheap ones) to maintain a back up generator's batteries? The generator gets used maybe once every two moths but has now failed for the second time because of the batteries . I dont want to fork out R 1500 for a 24v charger so I'm thinking using two small trickle changers to maintain the batteries or will it go poof ( AKA @The Terrible Triplett )

Hi, New member here, hoping for a bit of enlightenment! I want to build up a marine 12v Lithium iron battery (LiFePo4) pack. About 400 AHr. I have been offered 2 packs, both 48 volt: 1) Leoch LFeLi-48100 (48V, 100 Ah) From what I can gather this has 3.2V, 50AH Prismatic Lithium Iron Phosphate cells, so how do I break it up into a 12 volt pack? 48v nominal/3.2V per cell = 15cells 15S 2) Pylontech US2000B also 48V 100Ahr. These also seem to be 15 Cell! Is there any pack out there that i can break up to get 12V nominal, Or is there any way of breaking up these packs? Once I have this sorted out, I will also need h…

I have been searching the battery section for the last Hour and cannot find much on this topic. I know we have discussed this previously, but cannot find it. I have a secondary 12 volt System running, maintained through a 75/15 MPPT, charging straight from my 48Volt bank. I prefer keeping it at 100% at all times as the 12Volt system supplies all the security, communications and monitoring equipment in my house. I use 2 x 100Ah Discover Mixtech EFB (Deep Cycle) batteries and even being in the RV/marine class imo it does claim to have quite a few cycles at 30% DOD using the Mixtech technology. Hi Guys, I am getting a weird issue after running fine for a few weeks. My 3rd and 4th battery in series from positive side are becoming unbalanced. I noticed that the 3rd batt was always around 0.5v lower than the rest, and could see it cause issues as it drained much faster, but would pick up quickly aswell, causing the whole setup to switch between grid and battery modes a few times a day. I changed the batteries (3rd/4th) which we're the lowest, with new ones on Saturday. Made sure the SOC was close across all 4 batts. And hooked it up.
