I agree that teardowns are interesting, but just because a manufacturer (other than one who provides DIY kits) chooses  not to show internals, does not necessarily mean poor quality. Your logic astounds me, if this were true then every supplier of proprietary batteries in South Africa is selling poor quality.

It is the manufacturer's prerogative whether they wish to show internals or not. You should respect that, even if only because they can. Trying to bully them into showing pics of the inside makes you come across as arrogant and self-entitled.

You got to really love the logic and sense that some have.

Perhaps this is now detracting from the purpose of this thread which is the Greenrichh giveaway - if members wish to debate the pros / cons etc of opening up batteries they can start a separate more focused thread?

You completely missed the point mate. I never asked for anything. I stated the reason for not providing them is not valid. I also state that if the reason was something like "we prefer not to" it would be more valid.

In fact, that is what was stated and that is fine by me. I did not feel the need to further derail until you started with the aggressive behavior and accusations.

The Cell technology used in the Greenrich batteries are not your normal Prysmatic Pouch Cells these batteries use High Density Cylindrical cells so the internal look of the battery is very neat and tidy and looks professional and definitely not home-made.

The benefit of this is the batteries are a lot safer because if one cell fails it does not set the cells next to it on fire.

The battery also has internal fire protection as you can see from these photographs the battery did not catch fire or explode the pictures speak for them selves.

Note the condition of the metal test bench after the fire test the metal got so hot it deformed so they really blasted the battery with the flames.

Please note this was done in a controlled safe environment by professionals so please do not try this at home.

I have a 5.5Kw SunSynk Hybrid inverter with the Greenrich UP5000 battery.

If I won this, or purchsed a one with the smaller capacity, can it be connected in parallele with my existing 5Kw battery?
