My new 5kw inverter is back at the assessment center to figure out why I can’t change some parameters. Seems to be a bug in the firmware where it’s not updating properly. It’s still being checked though. The e416 is the interface firmware so maybe get them to update to e418 and see if it makes a difference. The problem is in all menus but so much so in the system mode menu. Maybe because that's where I do most of the changes. I will however ask for the upgrade first because that's the easiest option

June 7, 20215 yr 1 hour ago, Tariq said: @Vassen, i removed the plastic as per @Achmat, looks great, a very clean look I'm sure you could cut a cellphone screen protector to replace the plastic that was there. I don't think the plastic was meant to last a long time and just for packaging protection and not long term use.
June 7, 20215 yr @Vassen, are you talking about the remote portal that could access for about ten days ?

I have to press an item on the screen 10 or more times before it registers on my 5kw inverter. I tried a factory reset but it did not help. I am on e416 3161 software version Just to provide an update on this. Support updated my inverter to e417 and from the little testing i did, the issue has been fixed. The menus are all responsive and i don't have to press more than once to change things
June 7, 20215 yr A while back Keith also mentioned that he was sending a bunch of new dongles that they had developed, to South Africa, but nothing on that front either, but after six months of operation, don’t think I even need remote access, although, actual real time data would be nice.

I have an issue with Solarman. The device data for last year is no longer available. Will log a ticket with Solarman.

Can't wait 5 minutes every time for the logger to upload, would like to be able to see stats real time. There is a lot of discussion on this board of linking up the Inverter to Home Assistant using Node Red and the Canbus connection on the inverter. Works like a charm.
June 8, 20215 yr Yes, I did have a problem with disappearing data, data would be recorded for the day but after midnight that particular day’s data would disappear. Edited June 8, 20215 yr by Tariq .

Yesterday's data seems to be completely missing from the monthly graph even though its there in the daily graph. First time this has happened. It shows zero production or consumption for yesterday. How did you get it resolved.
June 8, 20215 yr My data for yesterday is also missing , and this is the second time this has happend. The first time n went a week without it saving any data , then i had to delete my plant and make a new one as they could not find the problem . Now its happening again ,plant is less than 20 days old. This is highly frustrating.
June 8, 20215 yr My data is all there on https://pro.solarman.cn/ I do recall that I had about 1 day missing about 2 weeks ago though.
June 8, 20215 yr I logged a ticket and they are looking into it. Solarman Smart and business apps have missing data for yesterday. Solarman Pro and Solarman apps reporting all data. Definitely an issue on the Solarman side and not sunsynk or the inverter.

Exact same problem i am having , Please let us know how you solved it . @Achmat Yea thats the same problem once it starts to not save the days it just does the same every day. They were fiddling around with my time zone settings but everything was correct according to them, but nothing was solved.

June 8, 20215 yr 2 minutes ago, Tariq said: i am missing yesterday's data on home.solarmanpv.cn Ok - and I seem to suddenly have exactly the same problem In the '24h Curve' the data is available, but in the 'Historical Data' at the bottom the data for yesterday is gone... But my question was related to 'home' vs 'pro' of Solarman. Is there a difference between the two?

Just the way they present the data and the UI but looking at what's happening it seems that Pro is more accurate with no missing data. I prefer the Solarman Smart and business apps though but I'll be sourcing them if they can't fix the missing data.

I've requested an update on this issue on there and contacted their local support rep Bashir and no response yet. https://www.sunsynk.org/forum/techical-support/is-there-any-notification-when-grid-power-goes-off-and-inverter-provides-power-from-batteries Hi there @Achmat, I have been wondering the same... Just wish we received a notification via the SolarMan App to advise when we are on Grid versus Battery. I clicked on your link to the SunSynk website and noticed that your post has been taken down... Has this been resolved?

No reply from them and I don't think they are interested in fixing this. @Leshensorry to tag you every time but you seem to get better response from sunsynk. There is an error code on the inverter if the grid is down. Can you find out why this code is not logged in the fault codes. What's the point of the F35 fault code of its not logged on the inverter fault screen. This could be very useful if it actually logged the grid going down.

Ok so because it’s a storage system, the F35 error is disabled. If operating as a grid tied inverter ie no battery then it will trigger an F35 error. Edited June 15, 20215 yr by Leshen Spelling
