Good day Halycon, Hope you are well, I got an Deye 5kW Hybrid Inverter and noticed that while sun is shining and grid is available, the inverter uses some power from the batteries, I am using 260 Ah gel batteries. Is this normal or a setting problem? Could you please give some guidance to what the settings should be. Thanks, Flip.

When the grid loadshed them my essentials load output dips just enough to reset my servers. I have a sunsynk SUN-5K-SG01LP1-EU inverter. Is there away to keep the essentials load output on regardless if its getting power from the grid, solar or batteries? My load is constant 4.8kwh and I have 4 pylontech 3000c. If I add the ups back on the servers then my load is more than 5kwh so the inverter throws an AC overload and shutdown.

Hi Everyone, The past few weeks have been extremely hot 🔥 and I had concerns of how hot the Inverter was getting, reaching temperature of 60c plus. Decided to connect two industrial extraction fans on either of the upper vents, this has brought the temp down to just below 40c. My other concern is the Lithium battery in these hot 🔥 conditions, perhaps rest the battery on Aluminum heatsink, there are no ventilation holes at all on the battery and for good reason too. Thought I would share this with the forum who may have the same worry as I. The fans will be connected to a timer only for daytime hours.

These Axperts are connected to 2 PylonTech 3000US batteries and managed with Raspberry Pi with ICC dashboard. Today I discovered the slave inverter is not charging. I check to see if the batteries supply DC to this inverter as well as the pannels and both measurements was correct. It is suspected that the MPPT card of this inverter is blown. Tonight I discovered that the inverters have switched to grid long before the percentage (40%) that is set for them to switch back to grid. The current SOC stands on 77%. I don't understand what is going on. The only explanation I can get to, is that the working inverter (remember the slave is currently not working d…

Good Afternoon, I don't seem to be able to find any reference on your awesome site to the questions / issues i have. So I have decided to stop lurking and dive in. I recently installed an Axpert Max 7200W unit with 2 x arrays of solar panels of 3000W each. and 6 x Pylontech US3000 batteries. Here are my questions, 1- must the 2 x PV arrays have a common Neg line, or should they be separate? ( I have installed them separate ) 2- On the Pylontech batteries, The BMS cable needs dip switch 1 to be set on. Is this only for the master battery, Or for all? ( I currently only have the master one set ) 3- MPPT 1 (3000W ) + MPPT (3000W) makes +-6…

Good day, I recently installed an Axpert (mecer branded) 5kva hybrid inverter. I have an initial battery backup of 4 x 200Ah Gamistar deep cycle gel batteries. I have not installed any PV as yet .......will do some time in the next few months. so the system as is is just used during load shedding for a few lights, 2 Tvs, fridge, modem and dstv. Could someone please give me the optimal settings for this initial setup as per the programing sheet/menu. Using the software that came with inverter. Thanks in advance. I

Hi. I have seen this topic pop up a couple of times (here and on the Victron community forum), but I am not finding any answers relating to this recurring issue. So trying again... 🙂 The installation is 2x Victron Multiplus II 3kVa units, connected in parallel. The battery bank consists of 4x Pylontech U2000 2.4kWh modules. No solar array installed, purely backup. Installation, setup and programming has been done exactly as per https://www.victronenergy.com/live/battery_compatibility:pylontech_phantom. System functions perfectly except... Every couple of days (according to logs every 3 to 5 days), we receive an audible alarm on the Venus GX. When checking t…

On the Solarman portal I see a total called Total grid feed-in. I would love to have that kind of generating capacity but I most certainly did not feed 371.53 GWh into the grid in 13 days. (Doc Brown reference anyone?) Does anyone know where I can zero this value? It is mucking up my dashboard.

I'm hoping someone has had a similar experience and can point me to the problem. During load shedding this weekend, the backup system only lasted about 1.5 hours each time we were shed. Today I did a simulation. Switched the mains off. Batteries at full charge. Load was at 10% - 12%. Within 1 hour, the battery capacity had dropped to 80%. Then it dropped from 80% to cut-out in 15 minutes. Battery cut-out is set to 42V. Checked battery voltage after cut-out and they were all between 12.9V and 13.1V Setup: 1 x Axpert 5Kva Inverter 4 x 200AH Gel Batteries No Solar Installed December 2018 This set-up used to give me around 10 to 12 hours at +-…

Hi I hope someone with greater knowledge than me or had encountered this problem would have a solution. When I try to set the mode of my Goodwe ES using PV Master or EZ Manage HD it keeps on reverting to general mode. This is on a V.1 Goodwe, my newer one works just fine. Any input would be welcome.

Backstory: My wife came to me today and told me that our washing machine is broken, because it doesn’t want to switch on. Turns out she was correct in that it doesn’t switch on, but also nothing on Eskom’s circuits switched on. Checked the mains, no breakers tripped. Inverter is using battery. No neighbours have power failures. Cool, so CoCT came to fix my cabling running from their kiosk. Really impressed with their response time. Took roughly 3 hours from logging the call to saying goodbye. On Topic: During this time of no Eskom power, my wife asked me again to come check out something weird: A dimly glowing LED light (our only LED ceiling light) in the guest bedro…

Hi, can anyone help me? I have a friend who's father has a solar system with a Kodak Axpert MAX 7.2kw Inverter, 15 panels and 12 Batteries 3 sets of 4 connected in parallel and then the 3 sets connected in series to the inverter. He's using it as an off grid system, panels, batteries and then utility when the batteries are depleted. Does anyone know what settings I should change in order for this system to work properly? He had 4 batteries and just installed the other 8, but for some reason the batteries keep getting drained very fast or it shoots out errors and starts screaming. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it! Please let me know than…

Hi all I have an issue with the sunsynk 5kw inverter , we fitted in 7 panels with 2 us3000 pylontech batteries it’s setup so that if there is enuf power for the load, the balance of power from pv will be sent to the non essential or grid , we have also installed the ct clamp to avoid power going out , it worked perfectly fine for the first 2 days , however on the third day the prepaid meter keeps tripping what could possibly be the fault?
