So Voltronic reads and values opinions expressed on this forum. (No not really but one cannot resist the idea that they are eaves dropping). I am a happy Axpert user but am all to familiar with its short comings. My opinion is well documented. http://powerforum.co.za/topic/607-a-new-installation/?do=findComment&comment=8414 http://powerforum.co.za/topic/1323-axpert-voltage-overshoots/ Well the Infinisolar 4kW Super has hit our shores, maybe this happened a while back but I only noticed now. What do I like about its specs? Infinisolar 4kW Super Product Spec Sheet.pdf A 4kW inverter - for my off-grid install the 3kW Infinisolar …

Hi! this forum honestly has been the most helpful when it comes to all things solar. my setup, thanks to you guys is going okay. have a question for a friend of myne, he is deciding between the Axpert king and the Phocos 5KW hybrid inverter. he just wants to use it with a battery (no solar), and wanted to inquire which is better. he plans on using the pylontec 3.5 KW battery, which is good, but which is not fully supported by the Axpert (unless that really brilliant ICC software is added in), does the phocos work better? any help is appreciated.

Hi guys, looking for a backup system for my mum's place. Has anyone used or installed this system - https://www.bluenova.co.za/cps/ Thoughts? I like the fact that it's an all in on solution. I am looking for a system to run her essential load for 4-8 hrs. Lights, Router, CCTV, TV, Fridge/Freezer. Roughly 500W if all running at once. If she can use the microwave or her hairdryer for a few min (+-5min @ 1000W), if required, that'd be great too. Alternatively, I also came across these systems - https://solaradvice.co.za/product/growatt-3kw-pylontech-2-4kwh-lithium-ion-load-shedding-kit/ https://solaradvice.co.za/pr…

Hi All, I trust we are all well. I just wanted to pick your collective brain on a residential self-consumption 3-phase grid-tied solar system with battery backup design. Essential loads night time energy demand: 2600W, 9.70kWh (during grid-loss events) Non-essential loads day time energy demand: 45kWh Solar panels: 16S1P Jinko 390Wp (49.3Voc, 41.1Vmp) Battery Bank: 4S2P 12V 200Ah VRLA AGM Off-grid single phase inverter: Axpert MKS 5K 3-Phase Grid-tie inverter: Ginlong Solis 3P6K-4G Electrical installation works are yet to commence and I've proposed putting all essential loads on one phase. The only 3-phase equipment include …

My aunt has a solar system installed and needs extra WiFi coverage. Not sure which system she uses, but I was thinking on installing this: https://www.takealot.com/tp-link-wpa4220pkit-300mbps-wireless-av600-powerline/PLID34187724 Anyone with any feedback please? Hi All I know people frequently ask about experience with online sellers. And they should, one tend to drop big money with them. I recently bought a Goodwe and Dyness battery from Solaradvice. Part was because they were competitively priced on the items, and part because they had stock of Lion batteries during this time. Apart from them requiring that I buy their total load shed kit from them (and not just the battery I intended at first), they were willing to “make up” the kit with the inverter I wanted (a combo not on their site) and to exclude/swop out some of the standard kit items I did not want or need. Shipping was also immediate, thus…

Hi! First, thanks for a very interesting, educational, and occasionally entertaining forum! 2ndly - to the matter at hand. I'm curious if anybody has any experience and/or knowledge of wisolar (wisolar. co) (the company) and/or their products? I'm stitting with an estimate from them, but it is pretty light on component details (inspite of me asking for more info). Thanks in advance!

Im in the process to build a small system. Got 2x 12v Batteries , 3x 300 Watt panels and now want to take the leap and buy a hybrid inverter. I saw the SYNAPSE 3.0+ being sold at Communica and was wondering if this is a good product and will work for my small system.

Hi Guys Have anyone had any experience with vision inverters? EA3KHD <- Product code, when googled it takes you to eastups website. Hybrid Bi-Directional Inverter Hybrid (Bi-direction) Solar Inverter is PV energy combined with energy storage systems. It utilizes solar power, AC utility and battery power to ensure continuous power supply, and users can store the unused energy produced during the day by PV system in the battery and use it whenever they need, even at night. It helps increase self-consumption and achieve greater energy self-suffi ciency. It is a 3kw 48v hybrid inverter. They are fairly cheap at around R11k ex vat. Does anyone ha…

Hi there, I am looking at Inverters(3kVA-5kVA) and which way to go. I have been looking at Axpert and Growatt. Now the difference between these pricewise is within the same ballpark figure, but the guarantee is 1 year(Axpert) versus 5 years(Growatt) which sort of making me lean more towards the Growatt. The question is what is the experience out there? Can we have some feedback of people that have been using these two types of inverters. 1. The reliability of these inverters 2. Guarantee issues, do they honour there guarantees? 3. Software/hardware for monitoring performance between these 2 types 4. How do they compare in options you can set for diffe…

Hi All I would like to start looking closely at my current consumption on devices and circuits and by doing this start eliminating high usage items that can be replaced with more energy efficient ones. What is everyone using for this? I saw this and looks like a good option with clamp or even building it into an enclosure where something can plug into it. https://www.banggood.com/PZEM-022-Open-and-Close-CT-100A-AC-Digital-Display-Power-Monitor-Meter-Voltmeter-Ammeter-Frequency-p-1356031.html?rmmds=detail-top-buytogether-auto&cur_warehouse=CN Any suggestions?

Hi, Newbie wants to know whether anyone has any experience with this battery and whether it will communicate with an Axpert/Kodak VMSIII 5Kva Inverter? Just want to make sure it is a reputable battery before I buy. Their warehouse is in Midrand apparently, and currently very good prices (R16,999). Else I was thinking of rather going with Pylontech?
