I have an solar system installed about 5 years ago using an Axpert generic inverter (Mecer 5KVA) I have four 12 V 200Ah batteries installed. I have noticed lately that they just make the 2.5 h load shedding before they reach their limit where as before they easily lasted the 2.5 hours. I suspect they have reached the end of their lifetime. I need to know has anybody replaced their lead acid batteries with a Lithium battery on this inverter and what are your experience with it. I am thinking to buy a 10kWh Lithium battery instead of the four 12v lead-acid batteries. Any advice would be appreciated.

I purchased a 1000w edecoa inverter. Connecting it to battery for first time, i got poles wrong way round and blew the fuses. Replaced fuses. Inverter works ok but fans are on constantly. Is this normal? If not, what can i do to fix the problem?

I’ve got a mecer/mustek 5kva invertes with batteries. when power goes out, it dont seem to kick over to battery quick enough, resulting in all my computers being rebooted. Is there a setting to fix this? I should add that the inverter is running at about 80% load

I am quite new to this forum. System worked perfectly and since Friday (heavy rains storm) wont change over to ac when batteries are low. Ac available showing 241v on both inverters but drains the batteries and shuts down. Any help on this please? I have restarted both sysytems 5x and still no joy.

Hi Guys, I am very new to the world of Solar power, to beat the eskom failures I decided to invest in a system as opposed to a generator. I have a 5 kva Axpert inverter , with 4x 200AH goldshine batteries and 6x300w panels. I am very happy with how this works but I have a few questions that perhaps you guys can help on. 1. Would this charge batteries fully? As they only seem to get to 52v my setting is set to 55v. Does this mean that I require more panels to maximize this? 2. My switch over setting is on 47v , but when this is reached and the inverter switches to utility on resting I still have above 48v. Should I change this setting to 46v? 3. Is th…

Hi, I recently installed a 5kw sunsynk. It came with a wifi module and I installed SOLARMAN smart app. This app doesnt really update real time and it also doesnt have temperature monitoring. What are my other options? I see there is an app called Sunsynk logger which seems good, do I need to buy a different dongle?

Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Unable to connect the datalogger to the server. Any advise (step by step if needed) will be appreciated. Used both Iphone and Android phones to try and establish connection. I have managed to one occasion get the datalogger connected. The connection was active for maximum 45 minutes then lost and since then reestablishing a server connection remains unsuccessful. I have deleted the logger from the app and started again, connected the logger and edited the configuration etc. The logger connects to the router (basic 2.4ghz router), however the status remains lost. Have tried numerous different youtube instruction videos, …

Good day all. Does anyone know how much solar you can add to each PV string on a 8.8kW Sunsync inverter. The manual specifies 10400W total PV but does that mean max power per string is 5200W? If you look at max voltage and current per string you should be able to go much higher on on string than the other. The reason I ask is because I have a single solar array but when I change inverters I will add another on a different part of roof. The current array is only 3000W

Currently experiencing the warning code 32 on a Kodak OG5.48 (VMIII 5kw) . Did a MCU firmware update without any problems but when we did die CPU we got this error. Update was done on others with the same official procedure without any problems. Any help would be much appreciated. MCU from 2.40 to 2.70, CPU 41.14 to 41.17. Inverter been running for almost 2 years. When running the reflash tool it says it does not have communication to the UPS and the RS232 cable needs to be checked. Tested the display panel on one of the units that the firmware updates were successfull and it started up without a hitch. The firmware just started when we got the error. Same RS2…

Hi It seem the Growatt can also blend Eskom and Solar. Also looking at the spec sheet you can also run the Growatt without a battery. So does this mean you can also use the Growatt to feed power to other loads not on the inverter backup?

The SunSynk datasheet (snippet attached) stipulates that one cannot make use of the Gen/AUX port if one is using the ATS240 earth bond functionality. Does anyone have an understanding as to why this would be? I would like to : 1. Have the safety of an earth-neutral bond when in Islanding mode (how important is this anyway?) 2. Configure the inverter to dump energy to the AUX Load when batteries are charged. If this is not a viable option, could one perhaps drive the coil of the earth-neutral bond relay directly from the grid, and then still make use of the AUX Load? Thank you

Good day guys, I need some assistance here please. A fiend of mine owns a farm in Northern Cape. The farm house currently runs on supplied electricity which will be cancelled. They only want to use the house for 1 weekend a month and want to run the lights and fridge for the weekend when they are there. Was thinking of something cheapish: 1 x Growatt 3kw Solar inverter 2 x 200ah Vision Lithium batteries 4 x 325W Solar panels Can one just connect it direct into the current DB? There will be no incoming electricy supply from eskom anymore. If I can connect straight to DB, do I just remove the eskom incoming and connect th…

Good Day All, Some advice please,I have a CB Solar synapse 4.0+ with a flashing LCD brought to me for repair. I replaced the 5 smoothing caps, some were bulging, in attached picture. The inverter powers up now with no errors on LCD but charger LED stays off with no charging voltage going out the battery leads, not sure if this can be disabled in setup ? It worked in tandem with a second inverter and shows H5 on LCD. Something else I noticed is the large heatsink on the left hand side in the attached picture is running quite warm even while only passing the mains supply through the inverter. All other heatsinks all stay cool. Inverter does …

Wanted to check in with other forum members if their green On/Off button has an orange thing on the switch on the inside of the unit. Finally getting around to setting up my Sunsynk (+-2 years after buying it!)., and its not showing power at the MPPT display. I have voltage at the inputs, so I know panels are feeding in power. DC on + pressing the green button shows no power at the display. If I check the switch with a multimeter, no difference if its pressed or unpressed - stays open (electrically). Is that orange thing supposed to be there?

Hello everyone, escuse me for my bad english this is a Google translation.10 months ago I bought a MPPSOLAR MPI 5.5KW hybrid inverter. this inverter is the same as the model from infiny solar voltronic power. After a few days of operation, it broke down, error 6. After long discussions with MPP SOLAR, I received a new inverter, the same model. the second comes in turn to break down with the same error code 6. This error code corespond to a temperature error in the charger part (DC to DC board). Whenever they broke down the charger did not charge more than 25A at 62V DC. my batteries are lithium ion, 15S. I found that on the first board DC to DC, one of the MOSFET was explo…

Hi. I recently had a Growatt SPF 5000 with a Hubble 5.5KW battery installed. A couple of days later, my garage door motor stopped working. Automation guys came out and diagnosed a burnt out coil (garage door motor is around 29V if my memory serves me correctly - ET Blu). They changed the coil and a couple of days later, the same happens. Before installing another, they took away the motor and tested it off-site. Ran for a few days without issue. Brought it back to my place, installed it and also installed an Ellies surge protector to be safe. A few days later, the coil burnt out again. I had the electrician remove the garage circuit from the inverter supply and the…

A couple of months ago we had a utility supply cable fault, which caused a 160V between the shower floor and the tap. While waiting for ELM to repair the cable, I installed my own extra earth rod but it didn't help. When I disconnected the earth wire in my budgie box the fault was gone. I could light up a 50w globe, between the earth wire coming from the utility box and the earth wire to my house. The earth/neutral buss link in the utility box, glowed different shades of red during that time. Now my question is: if this happen again could it damage my inverter?

Good evening. I have a strange problem which is puzzling the experts Installation is 2x Mutiplus II with ESS. The system works perfectly, but with one problem. After load shedding, the RCD trips once, when the inverter synchs with restored grid power. No RCD or wiring problems. No other nuisance tripping. Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

Hi folks. This is my first post so greetings for every user 🙂 Recently i bought 24V 3500W off-grid inverter (link below): https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/SNADI-5-5KW-48V-100A-MPPT_1600056398800.html?spm=a2756.order-detail-ta-ta-b.0.0.20362fc2vhctHV It cost me exactly 375.36 USD including WiFi module, Alibaba fee and DDP shipping by train to Poland (I needed to wait exactly 3 months 😕 Anyway I think it is a good price for this device. After I received it I tested AC output load 2-3kW (water heater etc. and other inductive and ressitance loads) everything is fine. AC charger module also works well (it can truly provide 80A currento to the battery). My batte…

Hi For a grid tie inverter, my understanding is that you need to size the inverter based on the number of panels and not the load. With the inverter being able to push power back it doesn't matter what is under the inverter. So does it make sense to have nothing under the inverter so all the power generated by the panels is pushed back to the other loads

Hi guys, I've done some work with the Goodwe staples: GW5048D-ES and GW3648D-ES. For a couple of larger installs that we are looking at, the GW10KT-DT & GW10K-ET look like they may be a good fit, technically, but not had any hands on experience, interacted or heard anything about these out in the field, so wanted to check in here on thoughts, opinions and experiences with them. Any insights? Kind regards.
