Hi all I'm putting in a few MultiPlus-II 48/3000/35-32s in parallel, and was originally planning to get a Venus GX. Does it make more sense to replace one of the MultiPlus-IIs with a GX model, and forgo the Venus? From what I can tell the price of a GX model is roughly the same as a normal model + Venus, so the numbers make sense. So I suppose it comes down to: 1. Performance, I've read that the MultiPlus-II GX is a lot faster than the Venus GX (quad core vs single core), so that's a plus for the MultiPlus-II GX 2. Risk. Is it more risky to have my GX on the inverter, so if that inverter fails my entire control system fails, rather than having a s…

Hi i have a Mecer Axpert originally installed 18 months ago together with 2.8kW of pv modules and 2x2.4kWh of pylontech batteries. It generally runs nicely but every few days it randomly trips with a 08 error, usually around 2 or 3am when the only load is the security lights and the fridge cycling on and off. I've had it replaced three times as my contractor thought it was a dodgy batch and has suggested changing it for an Axpert King. Does anyone know what could be causing the problem and will upgrading to the Axpert King fix it or is there an easier way. Thanks in advance for any help provided although please use non electrical engineering language as I…

I decided to add a VE.Bus Smart dongle to my Multi and suddenly my charge voltage just dropped. If I disconnect it it restores to normal. Any idea why this would happen? *I do have an existing wired sensor connected to the battery.

I have recently purchased the MECER 3kW 24V inverter (SOL-I-AX-3M-24) for a non-solar work backup / UPS setup and it seems to be behaving strangely. I have installed many 5kW inverters, mostly solar and connected to the Pi ICC monitoring software so I'm familiar with the bigger brother inverters to the 3kW. I am also familiar with the screens and programming an all these units, but this one has stumped me... My question... When this inverter is charging (I measured with a clamp-on amp meter to make sure it was charging), the inverter display for battery amps shows 0A even though it is delivering 20A to the batteries. When discharging it shows the correct -A. I have a…

I recently bought a Mecer 3kVA trolley with two 100AH AGM batteries. The trolley arrived with a note that had the following to say about how to maximise the battery lifetime: 1. Please leave your inverter kit plugged in and turned on. It will keep your batteries at constant full charge - this is the best state to keep them in. 2. If there is no load shedding, after a few weeks, the acid will start to sulphate on the top of the battery, so please do the following: Once every 1-2 months, please unplug the inverter from the wall and let it run until the inverter starts beeping, then immediately plug it back in. This will circulate the acid and will tremendously increa…

Hi Guys I would really appreciate some input from the experts here: I have 2 x pip4048 2015 units. Getting the fun error 08 regularly now. Have tried quite some things to try and resolve it. I have confirmed that I have DC runaway on the bus. But I don’t know if that’s the issue inverter thinks battery is at 53% but pylon thinks it’s at 100% therefore the inverter wants to offload overvolt to the battery there but battery doesn’t take amps as it’s close on full. Getting me to this issue since it is unable to get the voltage down in the allotted time. I have tested multiple firmware’s LC builds. Any insights would be highly appreciated.

I have a new 3KW clone inverter produced by Must Power with a 24V Battery bank consisting of 2 brand new 100Ah AGM batteries. It is not connected to solar and charges from the grid. I noticed its charging light flashes orange 24/7 non-stop. Usually with these Axpert-type inverters when it finishes charging it should enter floating charge mode and the light should stop flashing and turns a solid orange. This is not happening and I am a little worried that my batteries might get damaged due to a constant high charge current being applied to it. It may be because of the infamous charge/float bugs on some of these clones. Another thing I am not sure about is when the gr…

Good Day Guys Please look at my inverter settings. Do they seem correct specifically the battery voltage charge. The system is running normal I do however see that when the batteries are 100% themaintenance looks weird. There will be no charge for a while and then there will be a big charge of ie 40Amps. I would expect the charge to be kept at 100% with a small charge of ie 2Amps. I've got 3 of the following batteries. Looking forward to some input. Greetings Albert

Good day to all powerforum users. I have a weird problem on my Axpert King Inverter. The solar output Kw that's coming from my solar panels seems to be to low. If I calculate the value manually by taking the PV Voltage and multiplying it with the Amps that the panels are giving out. ( Measured with a amp probe) I should then get the KW coming from the panels, right? But on the inverter that value is much lower. It seems like there is some big losses somewhere, I thought that the amps showing on the inverter was after the MPPT done it's job but the value is exactly the same as the value on the amp probe measured at the PV combiner. I have atta…

Hi Does anyone have experience setting up this particular machine. Purchased a bundle offer from a company for my parents home and had it setup but the inverter does not switch over to battery when Eskom is down. Before returning the machine I just wanted to find out other experiences with the Deye inverter as we have failed at every turn to figure this thing out. Plus my folks are old school so they on my case. How could I get something so expensive that does not work...eish.

Good morning all. Started my journey this weekend, so very new to the scene. So by the subject, I need advice.. I have the Mercer Axpert King 5kw U1 71.90 U2 2.40 Pylontech US3000 Ive got the comm cable connected and working. (thanks to whoever posted the pinout) So I get the 69 error. It switches between charging and error every 1-2 minutes. Can also hear the relay switching. The battery also stays at approx 80% and 5/6 leds lit on soc. So the way I understand there are some possible workarounds: Raspberry pi with ICC software to better manage comms Set battery as USE with correct voltages…

Good Morning All, I'm having issues with my Axpert King, the solar production drops about 500 watts during peak of the day as soon as my load drops. I have played around with various settings and can't get the unit ignore the load and increase the battery charging rate (only charging at 30 amps max from PV). See attached graph and setup below Setup: Axpert King 5kva (Firmware 71.93, but experienced the same issue on previous versions) 3x Pylontech US3000 12x 335w Canadian Solar Panels (4S3P) Settings: Solar Load Balance enabled Inverter running in SBU mode PV Charge current set to 110 amps Battery Mode = Pylontech …

Hi, Everyone. I am also new in solar energy. I have recently installed solar power kit in my house ( Growatt off Grid inverter SPF 5000TL HVM-WPV, with Dyness B3 Lithium battery). My problem is the communication problem between inverter and battery. Each time I switch on the battery the inverter shuts down power from grid and PV. I get error "20". I have connected the battery communication via RS 485 port of the inverter. The Dip switch is set at #2 and #3 On. Please help. regards

Hi Guys and Girls, Hope all is well. A question I have after having a discussion about a system I need to install. I have been advised to install , what essentially is a PFC between the inverter output and the loads. ( Device in question is a Turner Morris High Efficient Energy Saver. I would be interested to hear if anybody has any experience with these ........or has any alternate suggestions. Essentially a PFC so connected to households running older fridges, AC's, pumps , flourescent lights etc, I can see that there would be savings to be had, I will be looking into one of these.) The gentleman advising me to do so is claiming that the inverter will be…

Dear PowerForum! We have about 80 PV plants with different type of inverters; Mostly Fronius, Huawei / Growatt and Solar-Log (Sungrow) Is there any way / program where i can see their incomes by inverter, real-time? We use the default and original sites of the inverter's manufacturer but it is too many to check 1 by 1 every day.

Hi Last night was the second time this has happened: Multiplus-II as a UPS with 4 x 100AH SLA batteries. Minimal load connected, a handful of LED lights. At the moment of grid failure the inverter turns off with the red overload LED on. Turning the inverter off and on restores proper operation. Anyone else experienced this problem?

Hi Guys, Last night when we load shedding started at my house, my Multiplus II did not "activate" ie, power went off, but it did not kick in. When I went to investigate. It showed that the batteries was low, the red light flashing next to the battery low on inverter, but the batteries, 2 x polyntech's 3500 were at 88% full. I did charged the batteries during the day, from Eskom, as with all the clouds the last 5 days, here in Centurion it was "empty" (45%). My SOC is usually set at 30%. but with the clouds around it increased it to 45% I then went to switch off the inverter for a couple off seconds, 10 or so seconds, and then I switched the inverter back on…

The Easysolar ii is 3 kVa, has a 250/70 MPPT, the pv array is 4300 watts, this morning the pv was generating 3400 watts while charging the battery full out and running a microwave at about 1800 watts, now an hour later the geyser is on as per the attached picture but only generating 2700 watts, the sun is out with no clouds and 15 degrees temperature . Does it have to do with the 3 kVa rating and the fact that earlier when it was charging the battery at 50 amps, the the ac load was less than 3kVa

Hi I might be wrong but it looks like the default behavior of victron inverters which has 2 AC inputs is to switch from AC 2 (solar or generator) to AC 1 (eskom) if AC 2 cannot deliver enough power. So my question is, does victron have an inverter that pulls power from AC 2 and supplements power from AC 1 if AC 2 cannot deliver enough power? Thanks -G-
