Batteries

Any recommendations for a 24V/8S LiFePo4 BMS with Temperature compensated charging/cutoff and Bluetooth connectivity? I am building a small 24V pack in the range of around 10A-20A so no large current BMS required, 20A or even 10A discharge is sufficient.

I've got a 48V small off grid solar installation with some AGM lead acid batteries that I've not looked after very well and which are going to need replacing soon. I've been wondering about the Pylontech Lithium batteries, but have some questions that I can't make out from their manual and searching. The manuals describe a communication cable between each battery (which makes sense from a BMS/balancing point of view), but also a communication cable to the hybrid inverter (which I don't have because I have separate MPTT solar charger and inverter, neither with CAN or rj45 connectors). Hi Guys i have 1 Leoch battery LFeLi-48200TB. according to the spec sheet its suppose to be 100AH, but on the BMS its showing 30.8AH. although the load we put on the battery is consistent with a 100AH capacity battery, im still bothered why it still shows 30AH. any pointers?

Hey everyone I'm new to Solar and I've been doing a lot of research. I figured a 3kva 24v hybrid system would run the essentials during power outages and fit my rather small budget. After consultations with "professionals" I decided to start with an inverter and batteries before adding PV panels. There was a good deal on a Synapse 3.0v+ inverter and I managed to buy one yesterday. However, I got stuck when it came to batteries. Hi forum. My first post, have a user mostly for downloading firmware for my MPP 5048 MK for which i have connected two Pylontech US3000 batteries. Which report SoC to my inverter. ive made a logic with mppt via solpiplog, and was wondering which SoC i can go to at the lowest on the pylontech batteries. Right now my logic is as in attached picture. Short;: change to grid charge at 10%, Change back to Solar charge at 15%, Change to ECO (Bypass mode) at 20% and lastly go to battery mode at 25% i will only use the Grid as backup. But can i go as low as 1% Soc before i do this? i mean is, the SoC reported from the batteries safe to use between 1-100% SoC or…

I'm new to lithiums after recently replacing my lead acids. I have 2 x 3.5kW Pylontechs. I'm looking for the sweet spot where I will get good battery life as well as maximum utilisation of the bank at night. I do understand the technology is new so there's no real data out there. Currently I'm drawing down to 25% before switching to grid, but the Axpert powers itself from the batteries so this causes a further slow drop of a few %. Never goes below 20% which is my personal comfort zone limit. I'll likely modify this strategy for load shedding to leave a little more in should I need to go back to battery at 4am. I have the following setup: 3 x Axpert MKSII 30 x 330W PV modules 12 x Pylontech batteries split into 3 cabinets of 4 batteries but interconnected ons bus 1 x ICC controller I am currently able to monitor 8 x batteries through the ICC (limitation on viewing and a Pylontech limitiation). The last 4 batteries are not controlled by the ICC (I think) as the syncronisation of lights on the battereis themselves differ between the first 8 and the last 4. Would it be possible to economically monitor all 12 batteries (looking to expand to 15 later) on an individual level through another program but still using the ICC to make decisions on …

Hoping someone has some insight for me on an odd problem... The last two days, my system is switching back to grid from battery mode in the early mornings. This is caused by the batteries hitting a low voltage of 44v in a sudden drop. As you can see from the below graphs, the steep decline is not caused by an increase in usage or drop in temperature. The final drop was caused by an increase in load when we got up this morning but that does not explain what happened for the hour before which lead to the problem. Hello all, newbie here. Hope I´m not posting this in the wrong section or something, if I am I´m sorry. I´m looking for a seller of battery related prducts in the US that can ship internationally. We´re currently building a small electric vehicle for recreational purposes and we need to get a BMS board and some other things, unfortunately here in mexico its quite hard to get this type of stuff. Hi, I’m new to the forum and hope someone could please assist. Have purchased a new RCT VM3 5kva with 2x Dyness B4850 batteries to replace my previous Axpert 5kva/ Lead Acid setup. Have connected up the above 100% by the book but now getting fault code 61 (communication failure) between the inverter and batteries. I’m using a custom Comms cable (made up for Axpert King by the Dyness supplier) via RS485 Port. I have two of these cables and have tried the second comms cable also but the problem continues. Hi, I've been reading the forums and see that lithium batteries (as gooa as they are), cannot reach as high amperage output as lead avid batteries. Is this correct? For example, I see by the Pylon 3000C, it mentions: * please note this value is inverter/charger dependant, typically the maximum sustained value is 1.8kW per battery So does that mean you cannot go higher than a max of 1.8kw per battery installed?

Are victron good quality batteries? Because they are quite expensive and I want to make sure I would buy a good battery. (I need a 12v 60ah battery which last more than 2 years) It looks like that: I still have troubles finding a battery which is quite cheap (under 150 euros) and good quality too. So I am curious to know if victron would be a good choice as a battery.

Hello,So if I have a lead acid battery 12v and 60Ah, how can I know when it is 50% full? Which would mean I have to stop using it and let it charge again. On the charge controller you can see the volts but not the %, is it a device I can use to see in %, if yes, how does it work, how can I fix it to the battery? If not, how can I know using the volts?

So I have a crappy pwm 3kva/3000w inverter. 24 v. I have two Allgrand 200a/h 12v batteries connected to the inverter in series. The inverter is set to ONLY charge the batteries from solar power. The inverter is also set to switch to the grid/utility supply should the solar panels no longer be providing any current. So at night I am on utility. Because they are gel batteries, my thinking is to not "waste" cycles for night usage when the grid is available. The inverter however will switch to the batteries should the grid go down at night. I do not have a separate battery monitoring/management system connected to the inverter so cannot accurately tell state of ch…
